Just returned from 2 nights dinner, bed and breakfast at the Arrochar hotel. Deal was through Easy breaks and was total of £114 for two people for two nights dinner, bed and breakfast. Dinner on first night included bottle of wine (Hardy's Chardonnay). The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout. Yes, the decor would benefit from some updating and the food was not 5 star but I did not expect that given the excellent price. Customers were a variety of walkers, retired and one young foreign family. I read various reviews before arriving at the hotel and I can only say that any negative comments must have been from people who expect Ritz and Michelin star standards for a bargain price.
Well done to the Arrochar hotel for providing an excellent, clean, comfortable and welcoming hotel for such a good price.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking Loch Long.

Once again a very enjoyable few days. Lovely loch view room for which there is a minimal charge, definitely worth the extra. Food was very well presented and freshly prepared with a few choices for each of the three courses,we never managed to eat lunch after the hearty breakfast. So once again thank you to EASYBREAKS for giving us the opportunity to come back to this lovely hotel as such a bargain price, cant imagine you will be able to book direct with the hotel for these prices. Keep up the good work and we will be back soon. A big thank you to all the staff who go out of their way to help you.

Room Tip: Definitely worth paying small charge for a loch side room . Such a beautiful view.

Both myself and boyfriend stayed here for a night beginning of March. This was a night away as a surprise , and a surprise it was.

The check-in did not open until 3pm not just for us but for everyone in the hotel who we're checking in. When my boyfriend joined the queue to check-in he had to fill in an information sheet with all his details, this could have been done while waiting. The person on reception also covered the bar not suitable for the staff really.

We had booked DBB , it was a set menu with limited choice or no choice if you are a vegetarian ( we are not ) the starter was well mediocre to say the least, main course well not sure if the potatoes were boiled or roast as the plate was covered in gravy to go with what they call Roast Beef. The winter veg was boiled within an inch of it's life as was the Pasta.
Desserts we chose were warm Apple Pie with Ice Cream and Cheesecake. The Apple Pie was freezing cold the Ice Cream was warmer, the Cheesecake made a 99 pence one look amazing. Breakfast was just as bad the only hot thing was the Tea / Coffee.

Now onto the bar , with limited stock on bottled beers esp, At a weekend is not good for customer service. They have Guinness on draft but for some reason this was sold in a can ?

The rooms are lovely and clean so not sure how the Two cleaners do it to be honest, but the decor needs to be re-done for the whole Hotel as it looked drab and dated. Not sure how someone can think about having their Wedding there though it might be the view ?

The Staff and nice and friendly but they all looked disheartened as I would be if I worked there. I would strongly think about staying here unless it is just somewhere to rest your head and not eat anything.

Think about spending a few pounds more for a decent place that gives good local produce and doesn't do food mass produced or on a budget.

I know check in was 3pm,arrived at 215pm.Making you wait till 3pm was a first for me,had to wait to be served at bar,as the barmaid was also at reception. When 3pm arrived there was queue then a form to fill in,this could and should have been done earlier.Room was ok,could be doing with be updated.Dinner was horrible, salmon started was wheres the salmon, there was that little, roast beef was cold and fatty, potaoes were cold didnt know if they were roast or boiled and veg was over cooked,Hot apple pie was frozen. As for breakfast poor quality ingredients and toast that was curling up at the edges. The only good thing was the view of loch long.DONT GO HERE, no matter the price.NEVER AGAIN

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time at the arrochar hotel, the staff were warm and attentive and built a subtle rapport and had a sense of humour into the bargain, the food was out of this world, and the kitchen staff were very prompt between courses, we had a Loch side room looking directly onto the cobbler, the en suite room was clean, nice and snug and well heated and ventilated,i've been to most small hotels in the west of Scotland and this is definitely one of the best in many ways, bar prices are quite reasonable to,we will possibly return and may set this as a wedding venue

Stayed here with daughter, son-in-law and new grandson as son-in-law diving in Loch Long. Rooms were booked through Expedia which seemed to fail but receptionist booked us 2 twin rooms overlooking loch which were better. They were roomy with a beautiful view over the loch. They had flat screen TV, coffee and tea making facilities, free WIFI and perfectly comfortable.
We booked the evening meal and there was a good choice. The food was lovely and did not have to wait too long.Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also nice with a decent choice. Baby was accommodated with no problems though he had his own carrycot to sleep in.
The hotel is nicely placed for touring the area, diving trips and walking. We would stay here again. Thank you for making our first holiday with our little grandson!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking Loch have beautiful view

Stayed here over valentines weekend. Room was clean and cosy, no complaints here, very comfy bed. View was pretty poor, just looked over the roof, did try to see if we could upgrade but they were fully booked. Found the food very nice, well presented and tasty. Wine was a bit nasty. I order the Chablis at £22 a bottle. Not impressed, worst Chablis I have had. The food however made this a pleasant experience. Second night, again food was very nice, well presented and good quality, this time I stuck to the house red which was just ok. Entertainment was lively, very enjoyable weekend overall. Thanks to my children for booking this up for us. Will return.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a room with a view, it is still good alive.
