My husband and i stayed over at the Arrocher Hotel last week on a dinner bed and breakfast
deal. we were allocated a room on the first floor but when Lynn at reception saw him struggling
up the stairs with bags,he had hurt his back, she offered us a lovely room on the ground floor
overlooking the loch instead. i found this a lovely gesture. The food was excellent, generous portions at dinner and a superb breakfast . The staff were very attentive and friendly. All in all,
an enjoyable visit and we will certainly return in the near future.

We booked online a double room for 2 nights as part of our holiday exploring Scotland from north to south. When we checked in and walked into our room our hearts sank... The room was on the first floor with views to a wall. The room was dark, absolutely no natural light and with a strong smell of cooking fat. We opened the window to let fresh air in and saw the kitchen extractor fan that was next to the window which was smelly and noisy. The bathroom was old and probably due for an update a few years ago. We looked at the room and went straight back to reception to complain. The receptionist was understanding and gave us a different room, a twin room on the first floor with views to the front of the hotel. The views were stunning. The room was ok, just right, by no means a superior room but perfectly fine as a standard room. Bathroom small but has been recently updated. All in all a clean and light room, nothing special, OK room with very nice views of the loch and OK bathroom. We enjoyed the stay, breakfast was good and breakfast room is very nice. Shower was nice and warm and there is a towel warmer which is a bonus. Friendly staff and stunning location, good hotel as a base to explore loch Lomond and surrounding areas, if you don't get one of the bad rooms!

We would had left the hotel if they had not moved us to a different room on arrival but as it stands, staff were good and provided a good service. We would recommend this hotel and we would consider staying again when visiting this beautiful part of Scotland.

Very easy to find and most welcoming reception. We were able to change our room to a ground floor one but we specifically stated that we would appreciate a disabled room, this was not the case, there didnt appear that this hotel has any rooms for dis abled people also it did not have any dis abled access.
Beautiful view from our room which was clean, but as we had changed our room it was not stocked up with the essential, such as tea making facilities and shampoo.
The restaurant and the food menu was excellent as was the food, and the breakfast was wonderfull.
All in all the stay for two days was satisfactory except no disabled access or rooms.
Well presented and gorgeous position right over looking Loch Long.

Although the building is a bit dated, I thought it was good value, and the food was very good. My only problem was that the person in the room below (135) kept going out in the evening and leaving their bathroom light on, which of course meant the extractor fan was on too. It was very loud, which made it difficult to sleep. I've had the same problem in much posher hotels than this!

Although it's a 2 star B&B this hotel belongs to BeSpoke hotels group which I've visited before. So the basic set up is the same. However the building is quite old so are the rooms and facilities. However it still is good enough for a stay overnight and it's well worth the view with your breakfast in the morning.
We enjoyed out stay, pleasant staff the only let down I'd say was the actual food. We had our dinner and the breakfast in the restaurant and although edible the food quality is what you'd expect from a microwave meal. I don't reckon anything was cooked on location and/or fresh, so don't have high expectations on that front. Apart from that it's pleasant.

Rooms are basic, but clean, almost perfectly dark and kept piping hot despite the harsh winds. A slight gripe is the pillows are rather thin, but overall a decent nights sleep was had.

The entertainment was something out of sitcom; genuinely feeling like a Scottish version of Phoenix Nights, with a singer enthusiastically belting out off key numbers to a confused audience. Despite being a Saturday night, the bar disappointingly closed at 11pm, leaving a rather desolate atmosphere.

Breakfast in the morning is perfectly acceptable, with lovely panoramic views of the rugged landscape.

It’s true it not the chicest of venues, but given the prices asked nobody has the right to demand otherwise. For budget travellers, you’ll have a decent sleep in an idyllic spot, which you can’t argue with.

We stayed one night my husband and I and I'm afraid I was glad to get home. We arrived at 2p.m. after a 4 hour journey to be told you can't check in till 3p.m. Tried to get something to east and they weren't serving lunch/sandwiches that day! Tried to find somewhere else to eat and everywhere seemed shut. When we got our room it was small, cold and very noisy. We went for a walk and came back and asked for a quieter room. They put us in an even smaller room but it was warmer and quieter. Evening meal was O.K. in and out in 40mins. No entertainment that we saw. Breakfast ,again ok. No sorry won't be going back.

Room Tip: Noisy room 218 bit quieter but smaller 215

Sorry about the check in time. With the hotel being so busy it takes till 3pm to have all the rooms ready.
I hope you will return and sample out newly refurbished accommo0dation and new menu.
Kind Regards
