Fabulous B&B, spectacular views from room 7 across Loch Long. Room and ensuite spotless, private parking, quiet pub next door for delicious food. Manager Diane and staff very pleasant and helpful made me feel very welcome. Breakfast delicious. Highly recommend, can't wait to visit again.

Room Tip: Ask for Loch views at rear

on the first first full day in scotland we stayed in the claymore hotel. the food was nothing to write home about so my partner and I had to spend money that we didn't account for to buy a meal out and we found this pub that was was next to the guest house. The building was spotless and warm. the landlord and landlady were very friendly. we had steak pie with veg. The pie was fantastic, meat was succulent and the veg tasted as though it was home grown making it a very enjoyable meal.We will definitely visit again when in the area.

Room Tip: fantastic pub meal

This is one of the nicest B&B's we have ever stayed in. Beautiful decor and immaculate. The views are spectacular. We were in room 2. The bathroom was stunning. Very comfy bed. The whole visit was made more special by the lovely manager Diane. Nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the pub next door. Great food at a good price. We are hoping to return again in a few weeks for our anniversary. If you are in the area don't miss this amazing little find.

Room Tip: Room 2 was lovely and overlooked the loch.

As we drove into the carpark we were greeted by a beautiful view of Loch Long, it was magical! The reception was an unusual experience for us as we had to go and find someone from the attached Pub to check us in but it was quickly delt with.We weren't used to staying in B&Bs so it was a pleasent surprise when we saw our lovely room. We had booked a family room for three adults, expecting a double bed and another single but we were shown into a double room with an adjoining twin bedded room. Both rooms had it's own tv and were very nicely decorated and modern. They were even better than we had expected from the pictures on their website. The beds were very comfortable. The shared on-suite was lovely and modern too. Everything was spotlessly clean.
The breakfast room was very pleasent with a consevatory overlooking the lovely Loch. Breakfast was very nicely presented, cooked and served. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were given a £10 voucher towards the cost of our evening meal in the attached Pub and had a very tasty meal there.
It is a pefect base to explore the area. Our stay there was very enjoyable, our only regret was that we had only booked for one night.

Don't be fooled by the traditional, old fashioned look of the Lochside Guest House. The Guest House must have recently had a major reno and the rooms are equipped with every convenience, decorated in a tasteful modern style, are spotlessly clean and have a panoramic view of lake, mountains, peaks and mist. The breakfast room is in a bright conservatory with the same great view- not to mention the breakfast itself, which besides being delicious, has a big-hotel presentation. The friendly pub next door has good, hearty traditional food at a very reasonable price. There is a spacious deck on the water for fine weather. But, the really unique aspect are the bathrooms. Yes, they are modern and gleaming, and there, thousands of miles from home in your hotel shower is a little yellow rubber ducky to make you feel at home.

Room Tip: All the rooms have a view of the Loch.

Thanks Diane for you warm hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again. Great breakfast! The view from our window over Loch Long towards the Cobbler was beautiful and the room was very comfortable. Hope others can enjoy their stay as much as we have. Cheers, Dennis
