Burnbrae Bed and Breakfast
Ranked #12 of 16 Arrochar B&B and Inns
Reviewed 29 August 2011

We spent 2 days at Burnbrae over the August bank holiday weekend. Janice was so welcoming and made us and our 2 dogs feel right at home. She also was a great help in suggesting some local attractions to us.

Room
We thought the double room was fantastic. Large built in cupboards so that your bags are out of the way. Comfy big bed. Chocolates and sherry. And lots of little extras that just make the stay that much more comfortable. Lovely bathroom with shower and bath. Everything was spotless!

Breakfast
My partner opted for the full Scottish breakfast which he really enjoyed. For someone who does not eat a cooked breakfast there was plenty for me to choose from, wide selection of cereal, fresh fruit and the most amazing home made jams!

Location
The B&B is right on the loch with lovely views from the bedrom window. The pub right next door has a great menu but there is not much else in the village. Perfect location if you want to get out walking.

This was our second visit to Burnbrae, and it was great to see that Janice was as warm and welcoming as ever. The facilities in the room beat many a top class hotel, so don't worry if you've forgotten your toothbrush or need to sew a button back on, there will be something in a drawer to sort it out.

I imagine the new TV, DVD player, and CD player, along with a great range of DVDs and CDs, could be handy in the event of inclement weather, but we we fortunate to enjoy a lovely evening across the road on the shore of Loch Long.

Breakfast, as others have mentioned, is memorable!

We stay here most trips to Scotland . Janice has managed to maintain the same standard from day 1. Thats why we keep going back. We know exactly the quality of stay we are going to get which is most reassuring.

Enjoyed a one night stay, the room was a delight, the bed provided an excellent nights sleep, every little detail provided, from sewing kit to decanter of sherry, Janice kindly provided an early breakfast for us as we had a flight to catch, loved the homemade plum jam! Would stay again if in the area. Next door to the Village Inn which offers fair priced evening meals, plenty of choice on th menu.

Burnbrae is a fantastic little B&B in a great location for exploring Loch Lomond and the highlands. Janice, the proprietor, made us feel very welcome and was extremely attentive. There are only two rooms, ours was large and had just about everything you would need and more! The attention to detail was quite incredible - as were the traditional Scottish breakfasts!

Burnbrae is in beautiful location overlooking Loch Long and right next door to the village pub which serves great food and beer. All in all a very friendly and relaxing place to stay.
