We love this place so much that we stayed an extra 2 days.
Hot tub was lovely and the house was the best .

From the moment we arrived, the owner was on hand (but never intrusive) to attend to our every need & ensure we had everything we wanted. We had taken groceries with us but, I believe, deliveries from Tesco or Asda can be arranged in advance if required. The house is beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean & extraordinarily well equipped. The owner has thought of everything - right down to a wee torch on the keyring with the house keys, for late returns! Although the security lighting outside was working perfectly. The weather was wild but the house was cosy & the view tremendous. The hot tub was situated under a permanent gazebo & we used it almost every day/evening despite the wake of hurricane Gonzalo passing through!
Falling asleep & wakening up to the sound of the waves lapping the shore was delightful & on one evening we watched a seal fishing for its supper - with great ease & success - certainly more success than my husband managed!!! This is a wonderful holiday property if you crave peace & quiet, wonderful views & a touch of luxury.

The Bungalow is set in the grounds of the beautiful 1920s building Ardmay House, a pretty turreted affair. You sweep around the drive to the Bungalow, a long low fisherman's cottage style building.

The Bungalow is extremely cosy, warm and comfy. It is ideally suited to a family, or two to three couples travelling together (we were two adults, two older teens and a child of 5). There is plenty of common space in the lounge and kitchen and a huge TV for wet afternoons (also in each room!). Fab modern, roomy and very well appointed kitchen with all appliances and utensils you need to cook and serve proper meals, and there is a large dining table in the conservatory that can spaciously seat 6.

There is an amazing massive full size hot tub available to use. You haven't lived til you've sat there gazing up at the Cobbler mountain. It's hot enough to use even on cold wet evenings, in fact the other half liked it best when it was sheeting down!

What makes this property so unique are the epic loch and mountainside views from almost every room. It's utterly mesmerisingly beautiful in all weathers. You're just metres from the loch edge, so you can sit in your bed of a morning, sipping your tea, and gazing out at the stunning view of the Cobbler and adjacent mountains, watch seals rolling in the water, ducks gliding by, kites swooping and seagulls serenely diving. We saw lashing rain and white crested waves, rainbows, hot sunshine and blue skies and the lake surface like a mirror, all in the space of 6 days.

The mountain air is so deliciously fresh and clean, and the surroundings so full of natural beauty, that you can't help but be refreshed by it.

If you're into water sport, you can practically roll out of the kitchen into a kayak and go! If you're into art, you can do no better - I sat in the conservatory and painted watercolours, there are two beautiful vistas without leaving your seat, warm and undercover!

We had a most relaxing, peaceful stay, it did us all good. I can sincerely recommend to anyone looking for the peace and solitude of nature but with all home comforts and I guarantee you'll be awed by the view!

Tip: If you need provisions, the Teighness Stores in the local village have the very basics, but if you need to do a big grocery shop, the Co-Op in Balloch is your best bet, easy parking plus it has an ATM in the wall.
