“A friendly and welcoming B&B”
Reviewed 1 September 2014

Hosted by Frank a retired sub mariner and his wife Lorraine. Unlike the food in his submarine, the food is fresh and locally sourced and very well prepared. The rooms are clean and bright. The only problem we had was that our room was on the ground floor at the front of the building. We could hear the front door catch every time someone entered or left. Also the en suite was very small. However this is offset by the very reasonable tariff for staying at this lovely B&B. Look out for Frank's periscope which takes pride of place in the hallway. A delightful welcoming couple. Thank-you for an enjoyable stay.

We stayed at the B & B for one night followed by a week in the gorgeous Jasmine (vintage VW camper). The owners are friendly and helpful. The B & B is homey with a generous breakfast (and nice tableware!) The van was in immaculate condition and we had an unforgettable time. Would certainly recommend either to anyone holidaying in Scotland!

We stayed here for four nights during The Commonwealth Games...our first visit to Scotland. Frank and Lorraine were very welcoming. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely view of the hills, although obscured by the persistent rain! Due to our very early start on two mornings we took advantage of a breakfast tray which was very welcome. On the two days that we did have breakfast we certainly weren't disappointed, the porridge and freshly cooked kippers were delicious. A short walk from Alexandria Station made this an ideal base for visiting Glasgow and we hope to return to explore the area further, hopefully when the sun is shining a bit more!
Our thanks to Frank and Lorraine.

Room Tip: Our twin room on the ground floor was very comfortable.

Frank and Lorraine were amazing! Our room was perfect for us and our 21 month old child. We appreciated the laid back feel to the property and the ability to come and go as we pleased. The breakfast was cooked to order and the choices were perfect. We would definitely stay again when we next come to visit the Loc Loman area. Thank you for being so hospitable.

We stayed here for just one night on our way up to the highlands in July. We were made very welcome from Frank on our arrival. The room was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was excellent and we were given a choice of what we wanted. We also took advantage of the facility of pack lunch for our onward journey which was freshly prepared and ready for us in the morning. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again and would recommend to friends if they were looking in the area. Thank you Frank and Lorraine.
