“Amazing food and service!!!!!”
Reviewed 25 July 2013 via mobile

I came here on 13th July with 50 people for a wedding celebration meal the day after my wedding. The food and the staff were amazing!! I was so impressed by the quality of food and reasonable prices. All of my friends and family loved it here and know many of them will be back again. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Stunning bar and beer garden. Recently refurbed, meals very good apart from breakfast, poor quality meat products. service disorganised although staff very friendly. Rooms could do with the same make over as downstairs to make the place even better. Family room consists of a double and twin room with an ensuit, very good value for money. All in all a very good place to stay.

Stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. The staff were all friendly and professional, the decor very attractive and the food excellent. We had intended to use the Inn as a base for exploring farther but found the surroundings quite lovely with the river and exceptionally beautiful walks just a stone's throw away so were delighted at the location.

My mate and I decided to have a few drinks in the Tullie Inn yesterday, having cycled from Glasgow to Balloch on what was a rather hot day. We managed to get a table outside and were impressed with the glass frontage of this establishment which apparently is fairly new.

Inside, the high quality theme continues and the barman was polite and efficient each time I ordered drinks. The toilets were also clean.

I'd like to come back here with my other half for a bite to eat to see if the service is better than that I have experienced in the Balloch Inn.

We spent a night at the Tullie Inn on the way up to the Isle of Skye to break up the journey. The staff were friendly and welcoming and checking in and out was speedy and professional. The room was clean, comfortable and contemporary with an excellent ensuite facility. The room overlooked the railway station but we did not experience any disturbance from trains arriving or departing. The restaurant was busy so we popped over the road to a nearby Indian restaurant for our evening meal. There was no disturbing noise from the Tullie Inn bar or from revellers outside even though it was a Friday evening. We had an excellent nights sleep and left refreshed on our journey after a wonderful Scottish breakfast. We have stayed in many establishments over the years, some very basic, but all in all we can't fault this one.

Nice looking building. Near to the start point for cruises on the Loch. Good walk on the shores. We stayed in room number 2 which was on top of the kitchen and was very noisy. The noise came from the kitchen until they stopped working there. We asked to change the room but our request was not satisfied. The room was clean and pretty with tartan on the floor. 10 minutes walking away is the Co-operative for food and cash machine.

Room Tip: The rooms on top of the kitchen/dining room are noisy.

We stayed here for three nights Tuesday to Friday. My single room (no. 7) was cosy but adequate. There was an electric shower, no bath and there was a basin. I looked out to the front of the hotel and had a good nights sleep. My father was in another single room( no. 14) at the back of the hotel. Sadly he had no sleep on his first night due to a very noisy ( and vibrating) ventilation duct under his window. The staff acted promptly and moved him to a vacant double room at the front of the hotel and slept fine for the remaining nights.
The stairs to the rooms were steep, not really suitable for anyone unsteady on their feet.
The breakfast was good. Fruit juice, cereal, toast and a choice of cooked breakfasts. We had the full breakfast which set us up nicely for a days sightseeing.
The location is good, opposite the tourist information centre and a cruise boat jetty. Within 2 mins walking distance there is another pub/hotel, an Indian restaurant and an Italian restaurant.
The hotel itself has been recently refurbished and looks nice. What was missing was a residents area where we could sit and read away from the public bar.
The evening menu was nice, a good choice with good service.
The staff were helpful.

Room Tip: Choose a room at the front of the hotel or check about the ventilation duct. Also on a weekend ask i...
