“still hungry from tullie inn”
Reviewed 9 September 2013

As a party of 8 attending a 50th birthday celebration, i was dissapointed with how small the portions were and the length of time we waited for our food. The food was also too expensive and because we all left hungry, it did not justify the price. The staff could've been a bit more friendly aswell. I would definately NOT return and all i can say that was good about the Tullie Inn was the decor.

I am really very sorry you were disappointed with your visit. I will assure you that I will pass your comments onto the Kitchen as we have never had negative feedback regarding the portion sizes. I will also pass your comments onto the Front of House Team regarding their Service.

Kind Regards

We stayed for 2 nights at the Tullie Inn in Balloch mid-week early September 2013 and were very pleased with our experience. The Welcome was friendly - the place was spotless, the room was huge and the food was exceptional value. We would like to thank all the the staff for their friendliness and excellent service.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 9 and found it excellent with little noise even though it was the closest to the c...

Booked for Sunday night as had spent Fri and Sat in Inverary and had boat hire booked nearby Had got good deal on booking site Cute little room with nice touches which was fine for one night but might be a bit limited space wise for a longer stay Good menu choice for breakfast but a bit limited on cold table as only two types on juice and no fruit or yogurt option Seated in nicely decorated open airy area with lots of glass but this was spoiled by tables sitting cluttered after use Suggest tables cleared after use and condiments and all proper cutlery in area

We decided as a family to pop in for cake and coffee on a saturday evening. My daughters aged 22 and 23 were asked for ID.We pointed out we did not wish alcohol but were told we could only have hot food or provide formal ID.As there was obviously children present we asked if they could prove they were over 18 by showing graduation pictures.
The manager admitted he had no doubt they were older than 18 but rules were rules and if we were not having a hot meal we had to leave. My husband pointed out the 23 year old was a qualified doctor and quite obviously not under 18.
They have lost customers and will not receive recommendation from us locally.Basically staff with no common sense.
