“4TH VISIT”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 March 2014 via mobile

Bought voucher from itison and was expecting to get small portions anything but. The usual large portions with beautifully cooked food. The fish was so fresh and the steak pie was full of tender stew. The staff were helpful and friendly as usual. We will be back with a deal or not. Please keep up the good work.

My colleague and I Stayed for 5 nights while working locally and found this hotel to be a great find, got a great rate on 2 X single rooms and were offered several options of food when we said we would be leaving early one morning and would miss breakfast,
The rooms were nice and clean with wifi and good size tv.
The restaurant was excellent with bright decor and the menus catered for all.
We ate of the 3 courses for £10 most evenings and it was amazing value with good sized portions.
Great stay and will definite use again if in the area as also great location for getting into Glasgow.

We booked their last available room and paid £75 for a lovely family room on B&B basis. We had drinks in the bar and dinner in the restaurant. Cannot fault the place. Lots of drinks offers (£3 for G&T, Rum&Coke, lager) and good selection on the menu. The steaks were fabulous and would recommend the fries with rosemary and Parmesan! We slept really well and breakfast was excellent. We will definitely be back! Thanks :)

We enjoyed staying at the Tullie Inn. It is really a large restaurant and bar on the ground floor with rooms to let upstairs. The rooms are small and basic and the bathrooms are very small but everything was clean and adequate for short stays. The staff were very friendly and there was a good atmosphere is the restaurant and bar which was popular with locals as well. The food was very good.

Thank you for your kind review. All our rooms are different sizes due to the style of the building. I do hope this will not put you off visiting the next time you are in the area.

Having driving over from glasgow to loch lomand and having poor weather we decided to pop in for lunch. It was unclear if we waited to be seated or took our own so went to ask at the bar . We got told to wait and when the waitress came over she was blonde and wearing all black so I assume she was the floor manager . All I can say she was rude and didn't appear to want us to be there. I asked to sit in the area with the glass windows and she told us it was booked out and sat us in the only table available apparently which was in the middle of the floor and was awkward to sit at with small armchair style seats . There was only two tables in so asked again to move to a booth style seat . She was snappy and while walking away from us said she would wipe it down but was not to happy to do so.

The meal it's self was fine and the wine was nice . The waitress that took our order was happy to get me a drinks menu which the other lady failed to give us and took our order quickly . Sadly my friend decided not to dine as the poor unfriendly reception from the manager made her not want to stay or eat here any Longer. The food took awhile to come out considering it was so quiet.

When it finished the bill came quickly and payment taken I took this time to ask why I couldn't have been seated in the glass area as it was still empty and the waitress explained they had a cancelation but was unsure as there was a further 3 empty tables in that area .

So sadly we will not be back and was very disappointed with the meal the only upside was our nice waitress and the food was ok . The reception an wait for the food was poor along with straight out lying about tables being booked .

Thank you for your review. I am really very sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. We do get very busy at the weekends and we do advise that you book a table. A lot of our customers request the glasshouse and they will get priority when booking. I know that it would not be the Duty Managers intention to be rude as it is not in her nature.

We visited here, turned up without booking and were made very welcome. The staff were warm and friendly and attended to us well. The decor is relaxing and the background music wasn't too loud. We ordered from the "dine out" menu (which is extremely good value) and the main menu and the food was very good with generous portions. Would highly recommend if in the area and will definitely be back.

Took a 3 night break to Balloch. We stayed at the Tullie Inn which has a stunning glass covered area with interesting internal features. Breakfast is a great occasion with plenty to eat-10 out of 10, Meals whilst tasty were for me a little less food than I would have liked but to be fair others seemed satisified.Staff were friendly and helpful so overall we enjoyed the break, will go again
