Lovely place to walk round fantastic views and a bit of retail therapy . There is also a sea life centre if that is what you want.

My wife and I had a walk around the area and came across this place, Just up from Sea life. Great place to just buy a coffee and sit outside (sun was out that day) There is a great food area upstairs overlooking the Loch and you could pass a couple of hours just relaxing. Good selection of shops and some deals to be had..

Went on a Farmers Market day and some stalls but not a lot. The shops were ok but nothing to tempt me. The upstairs food area was not open so our choice was a cafe which was busy or a burger stall. The men enjoyed their burgers hence the 3 stars

Hi Margaret thank you for taking the time to write a review on your visit to Loch Lomond Shores. I am very surprised you mentioned the Balcony was not open! they are open daily for breakfast and stay open all day until evening dinner.

There are also two cafe's in the centre both offering coffee/cake and meals.

We visited here on our last day after paying for late check out at our campsite near by.
We did the Sealife Centre (only need an hour in there as very small) boys loved the play park and we had a little shop.
We also went on the Cruise trip 50 mins £27 family of 4 which was lovely and worth every penny.
It was an overcast day but if we had more time and it was a sunny day I can imagine we could spend the full day there as plenty of picnic areas and can walk to Balloch Castle from there.
Boys played Crazy Golf and there's also Birds of Prey and the Adventure Rope Course which we didn't do.

You can walk through or around the shops - we always walk through as we like mooching and browsing. There is the Balcony cafe nice on a sunny day and the recently opened Shore bar and restaurant which is just to the left of the centre entrance, a big glass fronted building and it used to be a visitor centre and tea room. This really has just opened as a new venue. We used the spa facilities and then had afternoon tea there which was stunningly good and one of the best I've had (I've had many!) You can just call in for lunch or for a drink at the bar. Hopefully there'll be a bit more signage soon. Take a walk around the far side behind the shopping area to the beach area or you can also take a loch cruise to see the Loch at it's best.
