“What a great idea”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2012

I like anything a bit unusual, so when I discovered this bus you could take a bike on, I had to give it a try. We took our bikes on the bus up to Glen Ogle and then freewheeled downhill for the 4 and a half miles to Lochearhead - brilliant ride. What I like about getting buses on holiday is the drivers and other passengers. The drivers on this bus were so helpful and friendly. One driver turned the bus round because we'd missed out stop. Another delivered my bag, which I'd left on the bus, to my accommodation. I would highly recommend this service and hope it succeeds (it's being piloted at the moment).

“We've been Glenogled!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2012

Myself and my two daughters (age 11 and 16) boarded the 0945 at Lochearnhead (with bikes) and got off at Bridge of Lochay, Killin. Had teas and scones (wonderful) and set out for Glenogle on Route 7. Quite an easy cycle for most parts but one or two hills to climb towards the summit! Well worth it though. What a blast down Glenogle along the viaduct to Lochearnhead - 4 miles downhill!

Left our bikes in Lochearnhead and took the 1250 to Highland Safaris. Great afternoon there trying out the MB skills loop, gold panning and refreshments outside. Staff really helpful and friendly. Boarded the 1657 back to Lochearnhead. A fantastic day out. Thank your Ring of Breadalbane Explorer!

“A great way to discover this hidden gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2012

Enjoyed a fantastic day out on the The Ring Of Breadalbane Explorer. This new minibus service takes in some stunning countryside and means you don't need to take your car. Especially handy if you visit one of the distilleries en route! This new service links key attractions such as The Crannog Centre, The Famous Grouse Experience, Dewars World of Whisky, Crieff Hydro, Highland Safaris and Auchengarrich Wildlife Park. A great way to get about this secret part of Perthshire.

“Great new visitor bus service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2012

Was lucky enough to be part of the first journey of The Ring Of Breadalbane Explorer. It's a fantastic new service that does a circuit stopping at places such as The Crannog Centre, The Famous Grous Experience, Dewars World of Whisky, Crieff Hydro, Highland Safaris and Auchengarrich Wildlife Park. The views from a bus are so much better than from a car, so it was a great way to see the Perthshire Countryside in all its glory. As well as being able to get to all these fantastic attractions, the talk on the bus was how it is perfect for accessing some great walks in the area. Thinking about walking the Torlum Path from Crieff to Auchengarrich (just 4 miles) and then taking the bus back to Crieff. The bus can also carry bikes - so again a great way to get out an about into the countryside on your bike without having to worry about cycling on roads to get there.
