“A great stop over point”
Reviewed 30 June 2012

We stopped off at the Craigbank en Route to Fort William on our Cycle trip last week. The Owener Charlie could not have been more friendly and spent an hour with us during his welcome telling us of the history and all the work he had done on what is a beautiful decorated B&B. The rooms were imaculate with fantastic power showers.

If you are going to the North of Scotland you would be a fool not to stay here. Five star quality 2 star prices.

Thanks Charlie a well earned stop over after 150 miles in the saddle.

We will be back

Ross

Room small and about 5 metres from busy and noisy road. Double bed too big for room so unable to open fully door to ensuite. Breakfast not up to standard that is found in Scottish B&B;s. Expensive for a single person.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front are very near a busy road.

What a great find, Charlie was so welcoming, the rooms were spotless and really comfortable. After a few days walking the west highland way I can't tell you how relaxed we all felt there. There was a group of nine, all mothers and daughters and we all loved our stay, wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed in all sorts of places including hotels and this was by far the best

We stayed for two nights and thought it a great B & B. Our welcome was warm and the room excellent, modern and very clean. The bed was really comfortable and had a quality mattress and good linens. It was very quiet at night and we slept well. Charlie and his sister in law were very helpful with information on walks etc. There is safe off road parking. Breakfast was very good, and served in the conservatory which was a pleasant place to start the day. Overall very good indeed, and excellent value for money. Crianlarich itself is in a top position for walking and we had some wonderful day walks. The two pubs serve basic pub grub, but they are in easy walking distance.

Walking towards the guest house It stands out as it is very clean and fresh looking
When we arrived we were greeted like the owner had known us for years he was really welcoming, the rooms were spotless, bright, and very well decorated.
We stopped here as part of walking the west highland way and it was undoubtedly the best place we stopped, real value for money and a really nice breakfast, would strongly recommend and will defenatly be going back.

Done the WHW in 6 nights and this was top of the B&B's. The welcome from Charlie after a big day was great; he even took our smelly boots to the drying room. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the shower was brilliant. Breakfast in the morning was very good with the continental option looking excellent! Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Just book and relax in the knowledge that everything will be OK.

I stayed at Craigbank for four nights on a hill-walking trip. It is an excellent B&B, very comfortable and beautifully maintained. Breakfast in the conservatory is first rate, there is a lounge with wood-burning stove, tea and coffee always available and a good selection of books, DVDs and local information. There is also a drying room. However, what really sets Craigbank apart from other B&Bs of similar standard is the warm welcome you will receive from Charlie and Karen who couldn't have been more helpful and did all that they could to make my stay most enjoyable. I hope to stay at Craigbank again soon as I still have plenty of nearby hills to climb.

Crianlarich has good road, rail and bus links, a shop, great opportunities for walking, both high and low-level, and plenty of places to eat. Day trips by train to places such as Oban and Fort William are possible.
