“Good place for a family meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2014

First went here about 30 years ago when Billy Connolly used to prop up the bar. Mind you, so did I! My last visit was last year during a walk along the West Highland Way. Decided to take the family on the way back from a day trip to Loch Lomond to see if they would enjoy it as much as I did. Although it was very busy, they quickly found a table for us. Service was at the right speed, not too fast or slow. Good portions. Food well cooked. Will doubtless be back!

“Good food and drink and dogs very welcome.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2014 via mobile

At the end of the first day's walk we were tired and in need of some food and drink. Dogs are allowed in the bar area but not the restaurant side and we found a table even though it was busy. Service was very friendly and our food came out freshly cooked and very tasty. We were too full for pudding so can't comment there.

Definitely recommended as it hit the spot. The dog enjoyed his free biscuits too.

“what a find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2014

our hostess at the bnb gave us the tip to eat here. we spent some time in the pub waiting until the dinner hour. friendly AND the oldest licensed pub in scotland! the dinner was well presented and tasted great. the desserts all looked good and homemade so we chose the irish cream cheesecake and licked the plate clean!

“Great Inn, good food, nice atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2014

This is a great, traditional Inn with good quality food, nice service and good value for the money. We stayed for a few days in a neighboring village and were looking for a place to eat that evening. Can definitely recommend the Clachan Inn to anyone, either with or w/o children!
