Took my mum away for stay, so glad picked this place. Warm welcome on arrival, nice clean bedroom, really good facilities.
Restaurant is quirky with lots of little collections of items, relaxed atmosphere with superb food, hats off to Chef with good selection of food all really well cooked. Very generous portion size, so much so didn't have room for dessert! And the service is one of best come across, very friendly staff who just have great customer service.
All in all, a great place to stay in a lovely location. Go, you won't be disappointed

“Balmaha Bliss”
Reviewed 13 March 2014

The Oak Tree Inn is just such a brilliant experience. There's an atmospheric (and always busy) main bar, a separate restaurant, and an extensive beer garden on three sides of the building. Unfortunately, there's no real view of Loch Lomond, but the looming presence of nearby Conic Hill more than makes up for it. The pub has its own brewery, making both cider and real ale, and has plans for future expansion. On my last visit I had a pint of Balmaha 80 shilling ale, and it was excellent. The food isn't particularly cheap, but it is first class, and I can never see past the Cullen Skink, which is as good as any I've ever tasted - a bargain at £6.25!

“Great couple days”
Reviewed 7 March 2014 via mobile

We stayed at the oak Tree inn for a couple days. The room was in a cottage about 2 mins walk away. The room was very clean with a lovely bathroom, with a great shower. We ate both nights in the inn, the food was delicious ..It was a great stay and will definitely return in the summer

“So very close to a repeat perfect experience”
Reviewed 6 March 2014

Hi,

We visited the Oak Tree again on what was a stinking miserable day after what has been a stinking horribly wet winter... Ahh,., Scotland....

Only a 30 minute drive away from home we arrived again to be welcomed by familiar faces and surroundings and their fantastic beer; ( I chose the wonderfully named "untitled" beer) - if I could name it, I would call it "stay a while"..... Grand stuff.

My wife chose the Lasagne from the special board, I chose the chicken fillet and peppercorn sauce - both very good. My wife followed this with Banoffee and cream, whilst I opted for another pint of "stay a while longer"(Untitled).

As with previous visits the Oak Tree is very welcoming, offering very good food and as far as I'm concerned (an exiled Yorkshireman), excellent real ale.

There were a few issues with service during our visit which were dealt with very well and in no way spoilt our experience.

We will return again, probably on a wet afternoon or evening, simply because that's when we want to be welcomed in, warmed by a real fire, fed hearty food and all washed down with a very very good quality local "untitled" ale.

Thank you

The Broon's on Loch Lomond.
