A wonderfull experience with great hosts.

The rooms were great and breakfast was just what we needed ahead of another day of walking.

Don't let the location put you off, it'snot far out of the village and the post-dinner wander back will stretch your legs nicely.

When doing the WHW you always worry if your accommodation is not in the centre of you treck. Bramblewood Just a short walk from your stop lies the warmest welcome & wonderful facilities. Jim & I have stayed here twice and I am sure will return again. The breakefast will get you ready for your onward journey. Thanks for everything

John and I actually ended up at Bramblewood in error, thinking we had a reservation for the night. We didn't. Our hosts, Kate and Ally were wonderfully gracious - offering us a respite from the rain, a hot drink, and lovely biscuits. They then contacted the correct B&B for us and even drove us there. I can only imagine how perfect staying there would be. Please give them a go. They are two of Scotland's best.

This was our first accommodation along the WHW and it turned out to be our favorite one as well.

High points:
- clean sheets (not always the case in other b&bs along the way)
- extremely nice owner
- best breakfast of our trip
- spacious room and bathroom (both of which looked brand new)
- good water pressure
- good heating system
- very quiet
- (small) flat-screen tv
- attention to details (great cookies to go with the coffee in the room, luxury soap and shampoo in the shower, etc)
- not a single midge indoor!

Low points:
- 10 min walk away from drymen center
- cooked breakfast took some time (if you want to eat at 8:30, tick 8:00 on the breakfast sheet)

Overall we can hardly think of any real complains. We absolutely loved our stay here and other b&b along the way felt lame in comparison.

After our first day of Walking the WHW we were very lucky to stay at the Bramblewood.
We had some problems finding it, but the room and especially the shower were absolutely wonderfull.
Ally and Kate are perfect hosts and made us feel almost at home.
This is defenitely one of the best B&B's on the Way.

Although it takes a little walk from the WHW to this B&B, it's really worth the staying! Very very very kind host and very luxury rooms. Great and clean place to relax from the first day and prepare for the second. Nice, soft and big bed, shower is great. I really have not a single thing that is missing in this room or that I can tell is not fully thought about in this room.
