Popped in here when in Helensburgh on business. You are initially greeted by a sign saying toilets for customers only ( fair enough, but not a great welcome), on some tables are signs saying " its a table for four, don't sit here unless their are four of you" I paraphrase, but it's that blunt. Staff initially ignored me, walked past numerous times, no acknowledgement of me being there. A simple "hi" or "I'll be with you shortly" usually does the trick.

Waitress, and I use the term very loosely then came up, sullen doesn't do her justice, and order taken, no please, thanks, or any conversation. I ordered soup and a sandwich. Soup was ok, but in a pretty small bowl, sandwich was two slices of bread, and grated cheese, no butter, spread, or any kind of garnish. I ate up, paid up ( £5.95, not good value) and left, again without any kind of thanks are acknowledgement that my presence was giving them a living.

If it's your cafe, and that was the staff, sack them, they are killing your business. If you were the owner, give up, this aint the business for you.

Popped in here for some lunch after having a walk around the christmas market. Took a seat at the window and decided on the braveheart breakfast with a cappucino. Was left waiting for some time then my order was eventually took and even then my breakfast came before my coffee which is not the usuall in most cafes. However the breakfast was excellent and well cooked so made up for the lack of service. Would return.

The food in this cafe is very good. It comes to the table hot which is important. Have been a few tImes for rolls and haven't been disappointed. The tea comes with the food and not before it. Well done Cafe 19.

Oddly enough I tend to feel that the customer should be helped as much as possible. Here though the food is pretty well cooked, ask for something even slightly differing to the menu at your peril.

I have been here many times with and without children.the young girls that work in here are lovely.however there is an older lady along with then man who walks about tutting when i have children in.children who are sitting eating ice cream or drinking their juice..talking /giggling like kids do.i find some staff attitude awful.
Secondly i find it disgusting especially as you can see the kitchen prepping area that the staff making food are eating As they do it..many times seen cutting up cucumber some for the mouth some for plate etc..not washing hands then going in to make scones/bread rolls etc.don't eat food whilst making it for your customers who can see you.that is disgusting
On a positive they serve nice hot drinks and the majority if the staff are very friendly however if this happens again i will be saying something to management
