Where do I start, let's say Inversnaid Hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond, what a wonderful place to stay, but don't let's dwell on just one Hotel let us praise all of Lochs & Glens Hotels. All nine Hotels should be visited by taking out one of their fantastic package holidays. So far my wife & I have stayed in just four and have never enjoyed Scotland so much. Every day is full of the tours that are included in your stay. Dinner every evening is stunning with entertainment also laid on. Breakfast every morning served by very polite and wonderful waiters. The rooms in every Hotel are top class and the beds are so comfy. From the time you board the coach which by the way is owned by L & G, you feel like Royalty until the time you arrive back home in the knowledge that you have just had the most fantastic holiday of a lifetime. We, that's my wife and I fully intend to visit all of Lochs & Glens Hotels in the near future and strongly recommend that other people should give this holiday a try, which I'm sure they will enjoy to the full.

Room Tip: If you can, when booking ask for a view of the Lochs which all the Hotels are situated on. All the f...

Our first trip with Lochs and Glens and now certainly NOT our last. We're not really the holiday camp holidaymakers and had a few misgivings in deciding on a L & G package. We LOVED it! Everyone did there own thing and could join in as they wished. The whole ethos of the Hotel was to do everything to smooth the Holiday and ensure that everyone had everything they needed and at the highest of standards. The hotel is right alongside Loch Lomond with fantastic views. Although having a large number of rooms they are all characterful and well provided with every facility. Because of it's unique architecture it is a bit of a trek along corridors to some rooms so if you have mobility problems you will need to stress this when booking.
The planning and organization under the skilled supervision of Jackie - the manager - is masterful and like a well-oiled machine. The hotel was full and the trips on the coaches gave a feel of Scotland with drivers who were a well of information making each trip come alive. I thought the whole package exceptional value for money and heartily recommend this hotel and L&G to everyone.

Room Tip: If you can get it choose a room with Loch view. Not all rooms have lift access so mention it if you...

I was travel in group from Northern Ireland, two Irish sister ,brother and me two years ago . Just to let you know this is true for old folks travel, This is also for young traveller like me especially if your from asia like Philippines, the scenery and landscape is breathtaking , different day, different locations but my most memorable is taking picture of the mink who reside in the woodland .Staff in the hotel are polite , helpful and accommodating. We have fun in the night like bingo, playing card and the fabulous dinner. What else you can ask for a bargain .

Room Tip: near the waterfalls where you can hear the relaxing sound of the waters

Toured with Locks & Glens 23/07/14 Coach was ok plenty of welcomed stops.
Inversnaid Hotel is in a perfect setting, was advised by friends it was not the worst and not the best of Locks & Glens Hotels.
We like most people found it very tired in some areas.
But we hit the jackpot with room 240 it is located on the end of the Hotel overlooking a waterfall, and also a view of the lake, with it being very muggy at night we had all windows open, (no lights no midges) the sound of the water rushing was very relaxing.
The room was large with three windows in bedroom and one in bathroom, it had a heated towel rail also.
We realised that not all rooms are as good ,and the building needs a good refurb.
The food and service was good considering the amount of people had to be fed at the same time.
Something strange happened on last morning, having seen our cases off we left our hand luggage in room locked door and went down to breakfast. My wife went on up to room first to Brush teeth etc and found door open and bed stripped and no bag,as the cleaner was working near by she asked him if he had seen the bag, he said no and helped look for it without any success.
The bag turned up in the room again nothing was missing, the reception said they would sort it out.
if they have they have not been in touch with us.

Room Tip: From outside go for the 2nd floor right, dont leave anything in rooms on last morning. Wifi slow...

Just back from a 5 day break with Lochs and Glens at Inversnaid Hotel,Scotland. We had a room at the front of the hotel overlooking the loch ( Lomond) and the view was fabulous. Our room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was fine with over bath shower. The food was good with a good choice both at breakfast and dinner. The only drawback for me at this hotel was the 15 miles of single track road that twisted and turned and was quite scary but our driver was excellent. We used the ferry to cross the loch one day but the access from the boat to the hotel is very steep and my mobility isn't brilliant so I struggled to get up the slope as did a few other less able elderly people-feel the hotel should offer some help to their less able guests,a golf buggy would be ideal. But overall the holiday was excellent with a trip to the Edinburgh Tattoo and the Falkirk wheel; this is our 4th holiday with this company and they offer superb value for money-we will be booking again soon,

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the loch

I recently read a review by someone who had used Lochs and Glens and it was full of complaints. If you choose an hotel in secluded area then naturally there are not going to be lights, shops etc. near it - that is the reason why most people choose this type of hotel. I used Lochs & Glens for first time this year going to the Invernsaid Hotel (15 miles to nearest shop but I stocked up beforehand !) The hotel could do with a bit of refurbishing and I understand this is happening at end of this year. The hotel was beautiful, in lovely surroundings, the food was very good and the staff could not have been nicer. On request, they made us up packs of reasonably priced sandwiches to take with us on our return journey. One thing all the passengers commented on was that no feeder coach was used, once we got on our Lochs & Glen coach that was us till we arrived at our hotel. The drivers were good, funny and very knowledgeable about local history as we travelled along. Needless to say, I will have no hesitation in using this firm again.

Room Tip: Ask for view of loch (Loch Lomond right in front of hotel)
