“Whaur the sun shines bright on Loch Lomond”
Review of Cafe Lochan

I like to stop here very much, especially on a sunny day, have a scone and coffee outside watching Loch Lomond cruise boats rolling on the waves. It’s a quiet place on A82.

Decent car park and toilets available.

Good place to stretch your legs after a long journey.

You can see the valves of the famous Loch Sloy Power Station from here and walk in the hills if not for a stop, and all this on the bonnie banks o' Loch Lomond as the song goes for free except for a meal of course.

Called on 28th Jan, we thought about ordering sandwiches, noticed the colour of the tea towel ,had kitkats instead, one member of staff was rolling cigarettes at one of the tables another had a book on the table .
The old worn cushions on the cafe chairs do not look very hygenic,

Place seems to be on the up and improving steadily and it seems it is due to the two wonderful ladies who are recent additions to the staff!

Here's hoping the improvement continues:)

Went here on Thursday 17 October having had faith restored in cafe by the young guy Paul behind counter and new female member of staff in particular who is always there very early and open on time...

The member of staff on this visit arrived at 0910... He had 'slept in'...

Try explaining that to a bus full of tourists in their first coffee and comfort stop if the day...

Still very hit and miss I'm afraid...

If you plan this place as part of a stop off point, then do yourself a favour and buy a crystal ball before hand...

Are they open are they not???

Horrible experience here, the small boy who served us was rude. He sneezed in his hands then made our lunch, was forever touching his nose and not washing his hands. Clearly uneducated in this industry. Would not recommend this place atall it's disgusting. Nothing good about this place.
