“A little disappointed this time but we will be back ...”
Reviewed 5 February 2014

We've visited several times, it's in a stunning location right on the loch side. We arrived at 1130 on a Sunday morning and would have liked lunch but they didn't start serving until 1200 and so we settled for coffee and cake. A little disappointed that they couldn't have found us some hot food - there were six staff including the chef (all very welcoming) and only us and another person that's three. There is a stove in the corner of the room but it was unlit so very cold! I don't understand restaurants that have fires and stoves which are unlit in the middle of winter - very odd. We will be back though because the food, when you can get it is very good and set in an absolutely beautiful setting, you can eat outside in summer.

“A night to remember”
Reviewed 30 August 2013

Visiting family in Glasgow we treated to meal in this lovely restaurant. The evening started out with drinks in the bar of the Cameron lodge de vere hotel which overlooked the loch which was very still and tranquil on a glorious evening of the 25th August. We then proceeded to the boathouse were the atmosphere was great and the food and service were excellent. I would certainly giving this restaurant a visit

“Felt like a 6th form common room!!”
Reviewed 10 August 2013 via mobile

This place is terrible. It's run by a bunch of kids who have no interest in customers just playing music videos on the TV. Food selection was limited and poor quality. Lots of better places in the area and its certainly worth getting in the car to avoid this place. Only plus point is that the Guinness was pretty good
