“Great location, decent food”
Reviewed 10 April 2014

Wonderful setting and a warm welcome. The food was perhaps a little old-fashioned but perfectly fine for what it was. Best to choose things they might be good at -- don't try to be adventurous. The scones looked amazing. The fire was nice too :) I would certainly eat there again. Would like to give a 3.5 but that's not possible!

“Average food”
Reviewed 8 April 2014

The meat my husband had was a little tough. I had gnocchi and it wasn't particularly good. Service was good and dogs were allowed in as its a pub/restaurant. Nice roaring welcoming fire!

“OK for a quick bite”
Reviewed 31 March 2014

Food was fairly average, fish and chips etc, the staff were very friendly and helpful, food took a while to appear and while edible, it wasn't really worth the wait

Good food, comprehensive menu, easy atmosphere, great that our little dog was welcomed too. Would definitely go back when in the area.

“What a feed!”
Reviewed 25 March 2014

Have always judged this place from the outside and opted for the surrounding traditional pubs, but finally gave it a go this March. I was pleasantly surprised to find a 'ski lodge' style interior, complete with open fire, and a good beer on tap. Great menu too-very Scottish and filling! Well worth a visit!
