“B&B and Bistro”
Reviewed 7 August 2014 via mobile

Firstly the B&B was of a very high standard, we stayed in The Ruby Room and it was so soothing at night to hear the river and The Falls of Lochart.
The best Scottish breakfast we tasted in our week in Scotland.
Lynne the owner was so friendly and accommodating , helping us out with soaking wet boots after we were drenched from a hike up Ben Lauwers and offering to tumble dry any wet clothes
We ate at their Bistro and the food was delicious, all freshly cooked.
Killin itself is so lovely at the bottom of Loch Tay and surrounded by the beautiful Munros and of course the The amazing Falls of Lochart

“Homemade fare”
Reviewed 2 August 2014

We often stay in Killin and our visit this week did not disappoint - we had roasted red pepper soup which was fab and home made. Around us various other meals looked equally good. The variety of ice creams is another good option.

“Wonderful Warm Welcome and Great Service”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

Visited with a group on a weekend trip to Loch Tay Highland Lodges. We were 17 people and we were treated brilliantly. We were made to feel very welcome and we received fantastic service throughout the evening. The food was absolutely delicious with good portion sizes and lovely presentation. We had drinks too and the bill was excellent value. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Killin. The proprietors also run a bar nearby called the Courie Inn where we finished off our evening and here too we were delighted everything. A great night out!

“Lovely place to eat”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

Brilliant food with great staff no beer on tap and bottles a bit expensive would advise booking a table as it gets really busy.

“Great spot to eat”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

Our group of 22 invaded this venue for supper and although some choices had been pre-arranged, the friendly staff soon had us tucking in to some really excellent plates of food. Popular choices were the irresistable fish and chips and a hearty beef and ale pie but other menu items were just as delectable, well prepared and neatly presented. The atmosphere was relaxed and geared for enjoyment with a cheerful and relaxed staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. The logistics of servicing such a large group provided no hassles for the Old Smiddy team from rustling up drinks orders to delivering real coffees, it was a pleasure to be there. It is very popular so better reserve your spots before arriving. Well done, Lynn and team.
