“Surprisingly good restaurant”
Reviewed 28 August 2012

We went to Cruachan Farm to camp and discovered this restaurant on the campsite. Serves some really nice food along with a few locally brewed ales. Staff are very friendly and anybody can go (not just the campers!). Would be a good idea to phone and book as it is a small restaurant which is typically busy.

“Tea to die for !”

Got to be one of the best cups of tea in Scotland, add the cakes and I could have stayed in there all afternoon. Very nicely decorated and friendly people. Highly recommended

“Great little restaurant”
Reviewed 9 August 2012 via mobile

We would never have given this place a second glance but the locals recommended it (which says more than my review can). Excellent food, reasonably priced, and very very informal and friendly. I believe the couple that own it also run a farm and caravan park, so hats off to them. We went for dinner, but the array of cakes suggest a lunch or afternoon tea stop would be time well spent.

“Treat in country retreat”
Reviewed 4 August 2012 via mobile

A beautiful, tranquil setting, you could almost miss this delightful restuarant driving along the road from Killin towards Kenmore. Although it is open to casual customers and those who reside at the nearby campsite for evening meals I'd recommend booking ahead. We shared a starter of smoked haddock fish cakes with sweet chilli sauce which was delicious. Followed by excellent salmon course for my freind and I tried the mixed vegetable and nut option, not because I am a vegetarian, just because it appealed to my appetite and I wasn't disappointed. Very tasty with homemade pickle which complimented the dish. We rounded of the meal with a huge meringue bound by thick cream, topped with sliced strawberries. Compliments to the chef and the excellent friendly staff.
