Stayed for two nights with my husband and two small dogs, nice view at the front from room 24 on 2nd floor there is a lift but we just used the stairs, it was a family room so enough space, a double bed and bunk beds, nice clean and warm room, Shower could have done with a shelf or rack to put shampoo on, but we were happy with our room, we had a voucher deal which was a good price and would ask for that room again. Very friendly staff so helpful too, food was lovely and good value for money. Nice big park just across the road for the dogs to run about safely and a nice small play park for children. Pity about the weather, would like to go back in the summer.

Room Tip: Room 24 had a nice view plus just away from stairs and lift, not very noisey at night, pity about sh...

Just home from an overnight stay at this beautifully located hotel. Lovely views from room 27 however although it was a superior king sized room the bed linen didn't fit the bed properly, outdoor lighting which didn't go off till 2am kept both my partner and I awake most of the night. The toilet seat was broken on arrival so my partner had to fix it, no towel rail in bathroom for hand towels and empty toilet roll left on toilet roll holder. The sofa in our room had seen better days as the springs had gone in it and upon lifting the cushions on it I found a used plastic cup and crumbs. The food in the hotel however was it's saving grace. Evening meal was excellent and we enjoyed several after dinner drinks in front if the fire at the bar.
The walls in the hotel between bedrooms also seem to be very thin.
Overall I'm afraid to say I wouldn't stay again but maybe visit for food

Endured our stay here Mon - Thurs 27th March on a deal. Room 38 very small and cluttered not cleaned properly thick dust in corners and up the wall, ensuite showeroom with no water pressure or adequate heat and water tended to stop halfway through showering! Bed was lumpy and noisy (springs gone), pillows not usual hotel standard either. We had a small dog and had asked for a quiet room as she is a bit nervous of noise, the room allocated was right next to the fire door entrance which clanged every time it was opened which was frequently also the din from the plumbing was something else! Not a place to go if you want a restful break! On the + side the public areas were ok cosy bar etc but all a bit tired and very dated, food acceptable. Whatever you do, don't venture to the rear of this hotel as the owners seems to think it acceptable in this lovely part of Scotland to throw all manner of rubbish everywhere, there was half filled cooking oil containers in amongst detritus of all sorts, surely a health hazard and too near the lovely river Tay which flows alongside to be acceptable behaviour.

Room Tip: I would rule out 3rd floor completely and keep away from the fire doors.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel recently on a "Wowcher" deal.

The public areas of the hotel are lovely and generally quite well kept. We spent a very pleasant evening in front of the fire in the bar area and enjoyed a very tasty meal with rather large portions. The bar area gets very busy in the evenings and booking for the restaurant is essential as there seem to be limited dining facilities in the village which adds to demand. There is also some outside seating which like everywhere in Killin provide some excellent views.

Breakfast was served through a very short window of 08:00 to 09:30 and was nice although could certainly be improved on through the use of local produce rather than the usual generic catering jam portions.

There is car parking available in front of the hotel, although this is limited and fills up very quickly

The room itself was clean although needing a bit of work. The main part of the room was spacious however the bed was quite uncomfortable. The bathroom was very small and showing some signs of damp due to the steam from the shower.

In all the hotel made a lovely base for a couple of days in the country and we would certainly go again.

Stayed overnight recently on Living Social deal, bar/conservatory/breakfast room first class but dining room way too bright so pleased we were able to dine in conservatory. Bedroom big disappointment, tired and very dated - had to open door to tiny toilet area to gain access to shower (which was little more than a trickle), toilet carpeted and the wash hand basin was separate from the toilet and was in the bedroom - perhaps the normal standard of a "deal room" but can't help feeling it let down the hotel overall which is a shame as wouldn't be very pleasant to stay in this room for longer.
Can't fault the friendliness of the staff, food was lovely as was the bar which had a great roaring fire going.

Stayed 2 nights. Room was spacious, well furnished and clean. Breakfast is excellent, dinner on first night was good. Bar is lovely and welcoming, staff very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Do not expect TV reception, due to location the reception is adversely affected by the weather - nothing you can do about this. Would be good to have WI-FI in the rooms and not just near reception. Make sure you get out and about, either by car or walking - lots to see and do in the area. Stunning scenery and good local attractions. Also they take dogs - we did not have any problems with this but some people might. Would stay again.
