We have just had a lovely week in Beech Cottage, great location surrounded by woodland. We shared the garden with a Red Squirrel. The cottage was spotless & very well equipped. Would highly recommend.
Donna, Ste & Duke (dog)
We stayed with 4 adults and a dog in this clean, well equipped and charming cottage. The beds were very comfortable and waking up to red squirrels and deer present in your garden is just a great bonus to the already stunning surroundings. If you enjoy walking, nice pubs and the silence of nature then this is the cottage for you.
After having such a busy and nice time in Iceland, we needed a break after getting back to the UK. The cottage is in such a great location, pines, mountains - fabulous Scotland. A perfect size home for a family of four, with our kids being 6 and 8 years old. The wine, biscuits and treats for our dog were so appreciated - Thank You! The walks from here are great and easy using some of the old disused railway lines - there is a great walk to Killin to enjoy the Falls and the pub. The garden was perfect for our dog and enclosed which helped us to relax. How many places can you go to and see red squirrels about 5 metres from you whilst eating breakfast in the morning? We would definite recommend staying here, well equipped cottage and will book again to do some more exploring next time and climb some Bens / Munroes. Thank you. The Nelsons x
Beech Cottage is in a beautiful location and perfect for dog owners although you would never know any pets had ever stayed as the cottage is immaculate and cosy.
Our second stay which was again was comfortable warm and lovely to relax in the evening in front of the log fire.
Killin is only a 10 minute drive and well worth a visit you will not be disappointed.
Great area for walks high or low level with mountains lochs/rivers all easily within reach.
A special thank you to Lyndis for her courteous manner and lovely welcome pack. Hope to return later this year.
This cottage is more beautifully finished than it looks in the photos . Arriving there was really wonderful. Beautifully furnished throughout and toasty warm! A generous welcome basket of goodies.
Perfect tranquil setting in a forest clearing, situated close to 3 other similar cottages ( although all were empty when we stayed) We counted 15 species of bird visiting the bird table in the back garden and were also graced with the presence of red squirrels, ducks and rabblts. The friendly neighbour says that he often sees a pine marten in his garden too. A perfect romantic get away a time to refresh amidst pine forest, peace, birdsong and mountains, The village of Killin is an easy 10 min car journey. Worth every penny. Would love to return.
