We booked two single rooms at a very reasonable price for father and son each wanting their own room.
The setting was lovely and there was a warm welcome.
Nothing was too much trouble even phoning aroud for suitable places for us to watch Wimbledon.
The breakfast was excellent and advice was always available, can't recommendDall lodge country House more highly.

Room Tip: One of our single rooms had a good view overlooking the stream at the frount

Dall Lodge has ticked all the boxes for us. Sally was a wonderful host and took every trouble to make sure our visit was comfortable and enjoyable. We were in Room #7 with 4-poster bed and complete with settee and armchair, ideal for unwinding with a cup of tea and a book whilst occasionally gazing out of the window at the beautiful views. In the evening we luxuriated in the otherwise unoccupied palatial lounge - another real treat.Wondrous aromas fllled our senses as Sally prepared home-made grenola for the morning. It was was worth waiting for, as was the magnificent cooked breakfast. All in all the perfect stay. Thank you John & Sally, we'll be back!

It ticks all the boxes. Sally and John are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them. They extend a warm welcome to all, are happy to lend maps, fill flasks, provide crystal glasses for you to take to the river bank to enjoy a glass (or two) of wine (their property extends to the river bank and as guests you are welcome to enjoy this space too. What can I say?
The breakfast is fabulous, fresh fruit salad every morning, the best aga cooked full 'Scottish' and porridge you can imagine. The rooms differ in sizes which is reflected in the price but are all beautifully clean and we have always enjoyed an excellent nights sleep. We will continue to return time and again.

I stayed here for 3 nights in June. It was ideal for touring the area. The former factor's house has the atmosphere of former grandeur while still being spotlessly clean and well maintained.
The room (#1) on the first floor facing east was a bit too small for my taste while the en-suite bathroom was about twice that size. The bed was a bit old and wobbly, but I still slept surprisingly well. The breakfast was ok. What lifted it from the ordinary was the fresh fruit salad. As quite often in Britain, however, forget the coffee and take the tea instead!
Sally was a gracious and well-informed host who was always helpful with any request.

Having come down to canoe on Loch Tay myself and my girlfriend needed a place to stay. This was ideal as it was a 5 min walk to the outdoor centre. Our room, a double four poster, was ready after 2pm and it was clean and confortable all round with a lovely view out the large windows to the village.

The welcome was friendly and hospitable and the full breakfast in the morning was good. I would recommend this guest house to others no problem.

With a group of friends we spent two nights in the Dall Lodge. The owners could not have been more welcoming or helpful and the general standard of the accommodation is very comfortable with a lovely conservatory/lounge for guest use. Our twin bed room was spacious and clean with traditional furnishing - the shower-room had excellent toiletries/towels but was a little tired - however I'm sure it will be on the owners refurbishment list . The breakfasts were particularly good with a lovely fresh fruit, porridge cooked in the Aga overnight and interesting choices including smoked fish - one small area that could be improved is the cooked breakfast provision for vegetarians which currently is simply the standard breakfast without the meat items.

Room Tip: Room prices vary to reflect the size/quality

Dall Lodge is run with very high standards, especially for the price. My friend and I had room #10, a twin that was smaller than another twin, but less expensive. I was very happy with the one we had. The bathroom was nice-sized and clean, with individualized bottles of aromatic soap and hair shampoo available. The bright room included plenty of storage, along with a flat-screened TV and coffee/tea making amenities.

A fairly large B&B, the place was run with the friendliness of a small one. The breakfast was great and delivered with smiles and conversation from Sallie and John. Back when I was making arrangements, Sallie was great to e-mail. We did have to go ahead and put down a deposit of one night's charge. A 10% discount for a stay of 3 or more nights was offered and completed without my having to ask about it.

I loved walking on the breakfast room and hallway and stairway carpets. They were very attractive and padded so well, the cushionlng for my aching feet was relaxing. I would have liked to have spent some time in the lounge, a conservatory located on the other side of the breakfast room, but did not have time, in the 3 days we were there. Parking was terrific -- off street and no problem getting in and out of the lot.

The location in the town was on the highway, but, at our request, we chose a room away from the front to avoid any noise at night. The Dall Lodge is at the opposite end of the town from most of the restaurants, though the walk is not terribly far. Dochart Falls is there among the restaurants as well. There are pretty drives around Loch Tay, especially along the one-lane roads. There were a few hikers among the group staying there, and maps of hikes around the town were available free at a dispenser in the town, as well as at the B&B. Along one of the walks, my friend and I saw a rabbit and, driving along the Loch, we spotted the elusive red squirrel!

The happy conversation among guests at breakfast was remarkable. I could envision a fiction novel being set here at Dall Lodge, it was so distinctive. I suspect a number of the people were repeat customers. I have stayed in Pitlochry and in Stirling before, but if you enjoy smaller, more rural areas, Killin is a nice place to spend a few days and the Dall Lodge is super. Come and write a book!!

Room Tip: We chose a room toward the back to avoid traffic noise.
