“PERFECT in every way!!!”

Don't really know where to start but here we go... after a loooong drive we finally arrive at Otter's Holt and it WOWed us right away.
The position is strategic, as it is right on the river and the view is simply amazing. Once we opened the door the magic continued as we were in awe of the splendid room. We were greeted with a nice bottle of wine and a lovely welcome card. The room has a huge window and you can see the river running wild.
Bedrooms at a high standard extremely looked after and they both have en suites!
Kitchen has all and more to cook and there is a washing machine and a dishwasher!!
A Coop supermarket is nearby and so is the baker, chemist and some lovely shops.. ah and a fish and chips van!!
We didn't visit any of the pubs or restaurants nearby we always packed our snacks and lunches when we went out and cooked for our dinners.
The house is the perfect base to explore some of the most beautiful places.
Just down the road you will find the amazing Falls of Lockhart.
A visit to Lawers dam is a must, especially on a good day as the view is amazing. The dam co-exists with the surrounding Ben Lawers National Nature Reserve where you will find a variety of wild animals and millions of sheep!!
Many castles to visit, Edinburgh and Stirling Castle to name a couple.
Many activities for the most adventurous people.
At the end of the day a nice relaxing time in the hot tub.
If you are lucky enough with the weather and if you are a star enthusiast the sky will literally make your day. You can almost touch the Milky Way and identify many of the constellations, spot satellites and shooting stars.
We can highly recommend a stay at Otter's Holt and we will visit again hopefully soon!!
Thank you so much!!!

“Fantastic stay once again.”
Reviewed 24 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Fantastic stay at Otters Holt, our second stay through craggantoul.

Can't fault anything inside, had everything we needed and more. Clean, good quality furniture and furnishings. Whilst there were people staying surrounding us there was no issue with privacy etc. Heating was perfect for coming in from the hot tub at nights, the lighting outside was also just enough after all you don't want to be flooded under a spotlight whilst relaxing at night in the hot tub. Had regular visits from the two ducks that come up to the deck for a feed and sleep.

We ate out locally two days which was lovely and cooked in the lodge one night which was perfect, it had all the utensils and appliances we would need. The hot tub is perfect for star gazing at night and the fairy lights around the edge of the lodge are a nice added feature. The fact you don't take the cover fully off gives you extra privacy from the bridge even though we never saw once person walk over it in our stay especially at night.

Would definitely stay again, thanks for a lovely break.

My family and I just spent a weekend at Otter's Holt, Killin and I can't remember the last time I was so relaxed. The weather outside was pretty cold but the underfloor heating and the ready to use hot tub were so luxurious and kept us all cosy. My husband loved feeding the ducks that came by the lodge and the views were spectacular. A really beautiful and tranquil place to escape to. Luxury accommodation in a stunning location.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a long or short break and can't wait to visit again.

“Sheer bliss !”
Reviewed 21 January 2017 for a stay in January 2017

Four girls in a posh log cabin !, loved every minute and thing about it. Extremely spacious, luxurious and modern. Cozy sometimes too warm as heating preset, but I'd rather be warm and cozy than cold, and plenty of windows and doors to open ! ...underfloor heating fab on a beautiful stone floor.
Kitchen very well stocked with utensils, glasses, plates etc.
The setting is to die for, right on the water, the design with the glass windows wrapped around gave amazing views from the sofa
Discounts in local hotel eateries good and hotel across the road has a lovely takeaway menu!
We had the priveledge of the local ducks (loads) when we threw out some bread swim up and waddle all the way up to right outside our door.
Only things we would personally change was the two leather chairs, would be better with another sofa, I'd have a 3 seater and a 2 seater, there's more than enough space and the sofa that's there is soooo comfy. Beds and pillows very comfy too.
Hot tub was the reason we booked in the first place, lived it so much, could have been preset a few degrees higher to reflect the cold weather, was amazing to be in while it was snowing !

“Super house, super town”
Reviewed 21 October 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Directly on the River Lochay, next to the Bridge of Lochay leaving Killin toward Aberfeldy. The site is both stunning and relaxing. Easy access to Loch Tay and Glen Lyon

The river is placid in the morning but active in the afternoon when water is released. There is a view of the bucolic golf links. This is our favorite town in the Central Highlands.

The beds are remarkably comfortable. The kitchen is well-supplied. The unit is flooded w/natural light. Grocery is close at hand.

Nina and Greg are thoughtful and accomodating.

Lots of ducks and crows but, alas, no otters.

Directly across the highway, the Bridge of Lochay hotel offers, we think, the best food and, were sure, the best dining rood service in town.

We would have enjoyed a few more towells/pillows

“Absolutely stunning. Hope to return.”

Stayed here as a couple for a week in January and had the most wonderful time. The property itself was stunning and well equipped. Though the location was just next to the road, bridge and in quite close proximity to next door the house itself felt very private and tucked away. The hot-tub was fab - we used it almost every evening and again, with the cover up it felt private enough.

Amenities in Killin are really quite good, we visited Bridge of Lochay hotel and Killin Hotel for evening meals and enjoyed both. The co-op is also very close and stocks all necessities.

We did the Birks of Aberfeldy walk and would definitely recommend it - it was stunning.

Also had a problem with one of the doors on one day, but this was sorted within half an hour of contacting the owner - amazing.

The only tiny complaint we would have is the cleanliness of the property, there were several tiny things which could have been improved i.e. hairs in shower and bed, false nail on bed throw and small stains on bed sheets.

Also, during the winter months and dark nights it might be beneficial to put a light at the side of the property (when walking from the drive) as it can be slippery on the slope down which is even worse in the dark.

However all in all we had a phenomenal time, everything ran smoothly and we would love to return.
