This gallery is on different levels...has a loud bell when u enter which wakes you up!
The gallery has a wide range of different styles of paintings. It is proud of its' local artists (who are very talented) and it also has small forms of sculpture art, bowls and vases. It is the perfect place to visit whether nice weather or not and if you are away on a romantic getaway, it is the perfect place to visit to buy a personal arty gift for someone you love.
Once you've perused the gallery, the Inverbeg Inn next door, serves amazingly gorgeous food. I had thai green chicken curry (which i wouldn't normally buy in a pub) which was light, and really tasty with homemade naan bread and sweet coconut rice. All with the company of an open fire and friendly attentive staff.

I give both the gallery and Inn ***** five stars!!

“Near Loch Lomond then don't miss this!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2011

We have visited this gallery many times over the years. Recently we stayed at the hotel next door. The weather was awful and we decided to have a walk next door to the gallery. The owners are very friendly and pet friendly and don't mind people mooching around the art on a wet day. The place seems to have improved over the last few years and are now branded as one of the best galleries in Scotland. They have a massive range of art and some originals and are always rotating to new stock.

There is also a garden a small waterfeature and I believe what looks like a Victorian glass house with great views over the local river. If you look at the old maps the bridge is the old road from the 1700s.

My tip would be in good weather walk up to the waterfall and natural swimming pool (follow river upstream from bridge) then return and mooch around the gallery. All this for free!

Having spent many a happy hour talking about the art and sitting next to the river here I would thoroughly reccommend a visit. The art is tot quality and the framing some of the best you can get.....thoroughly recommended.
