“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2014

My husband stayed here with his best men on the night before our wedding and he was delighted with the standard of the accommodation. The rooms were extremely comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive. Thank you!

Recently used as a base for visits to C/Games events. Approx 30 miles outside Glasgow. Easy commute. Staff all v helpful, professional and cheery. Breakfast, other meals and service at Mr C's all good. Bedrooms clean, tidy, well appointed and serviced efficiently each day. Environment within hotel was relaxing. Respectful guests in occupation during our stay. Proximity of A82 gives occasional road noise for rooms at front of hotel, otherwise all very comfortable and recommended. Beautiful view across Loch Lomond.

We were lucky enough to be treated to the Commonwealth Games by family members, which included, two nights in this most wonderful and picturesque hotel. From the minute we arrived nothing appeared to much trouble from owners and staff, all with a very cheery outlook.
Only a very small complaint in that on our return from the games which was gone midnight we were unable to get into the hotel due to problem with the electric key. Maybe for the front door only a normal key would be more appropriate.
As for the food I can not fault it, I had the fish and chips, or should I say the whale and chips. Breakfast was what I call a breakfast.
I'd also like to thank Laura for her help in printing out our boarding passes for our flight home.
So if you are looking for somewhere to stay with good food, very friendly staff and a homely feel this is the place for you.
Again thank you for make our games visit the extra special.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front of the hotel.

Stayed overnight, not in the main hotel but the very pleasant loch side 'lodge'. Very nice, no wifi - a shame as it's freely available in the main building. Reasonable for the price paid, superb views, food was good standard pub grub & good breakfast.

Picturesque and scenic location on the side of Loch Lomond, with pedestrian access to the loch-side by a tunnel under the road (although the path was a bit flooded when I was there so I didn't attempt it, being down to my last pair of clean shoes at the end of a holiday ...). Large car park. Close to the pretty village of Luss. I chose it as a convenient place to stop off on a journey from Oban to England and didn't have high expectations, but it was far better than I'd anticipated. Comfortable room. Pleasant staff. Good food including great cranachan. Huge breakfast. The only negatives are that service was a bit slow on occasion and the price of a glass of wine was high, but these are not major issues.

I had lunch here with my son and friend on a beautiful summers day. The food was very nice a bit expensive but it is so beautiful I did not mind. Will be going back soon. There was a wedding in the hotel that day which looked lovely and this did not affect the service which was good as they were obviously busy. Thank you for a nice meal.

With fond memories of our last stay 4 years ago, we booked two nights in the beach house and returned on 11th July..the location hadn't changed but the experience certainly did..bordering on rude at times, the waiting staff were disorganised and disinterested, breakfast, lunch and dinner..when we walked into our bathroom in 301 we were hit with an overpowering smell of mouldy damp, wooden doors with paint brush marks, curtains with hooks missing or wouldn't close and generally looking dog-eared. The room was changed begrudgingly with excuses of fans not working (it was a dirty shower curtain and it was similar in the next room) The food really wasn't any better than the average corner chippie and we had to send one meal back because the chicken tasted off...yet again no acknowledgement and the meal was still charged even after mentioning it again to the so called duty manager at checkout..I note that there have been several responses since by the Inn to positive reviews while any negatives are ignored or laughably, customers have been told to contact them back...they really couldn't care less so I'll spend my £500 elsewhere next time.
