“Best kept secret on the loch”
Reviewed 17 June 2013

We stayed here for my sister-in-laws birthday as we were eating and using a spa nearby. What a great setting, far better than the hotels further along. The rooms were quirky ,of varying sizes, well thought out with fridges and utensils. The french doors and outdoor seating areas were ideal for pre dinner drinks and soaking up the view. Patrick was very helpful and welcoming as were everyone we met, we really felt at home and relaxed. The breakfast times were great for a Sunday not your usual Scottish 7am -8am , the breakfast room is bright and airy ,the food plentiful. We will definately stay again.

Room Tip: A room with a lochside view

Thank you Patrick, for the warm welcome and the cold fosters beer,at your house at this lovely and amazing place in Loch Lomond.
We enjoyed the stay in this superp refurbished and with love decorated rooms. It's an breathtaking landscape of Loch Lomond and we had this view from every window of our rooms.
After a wonderfull peaceful sleep in the four poster bed, a shower in the big and comfortable bathroom and after a very good and rich full scottish breakfast we were perfectly prepared for the next part of our bikertour to Stirling and Edinburgh.
Thank you so much Patrick for your kindness and we hope to repeat our visit on the next tour.

We had our wedding at the culag, it is a stunning location and the views are out of this world. Both patrick and his wife anne couldnt have been any nicer they were so helpfull and mde planning our big day that little bit easier and less stressfull. We were married out on the lawn and hd our meal in the conservatory which was stunning as could enjoy the view while we ate. The meal was lovley :) great presentation and service. We booked out all 10 rooms and the caravan. All were of a high standard and very comfortable.great value for money, followed by a lovley cooked breakfast the nxt morning it was a perfect wknd. I would highly recommend the culag for a special occassion, the newly built function room is very modern and well designed it gives this lovley wee loch side guest house a very modern twist. In one word STUNNING! we will defo be returning every year for our anniversary wknd :) all of our guests are still raving about our choice of venue and our special day, thankoo to anne and patrick and of course their lovley staff for mking the day run so smoothly. Perfect wedding venue.

Stayed in Culag again for the fourth time in 2 years. It's such an amazing place! We stayed in Room 7 and it's utterly fabulous! Lovely jacuzzi to wind down in, and the decor and layout is ideal! The room looks out onto the Loch and it's got no restricted views from the balcony in the bedroom.

The breakfast is to die for :-) Patrick makes it to your own wants and needs and it's totally delicious! You'll love it.

Patrick is very helpful, kind and generally interested in you and your plans! He'll offer good advice on things to do and places to go!

Rain, hail or shine, culag and loch lomond are lovely places.

Thanks to Patrick for his kindness in our recent stay.

Lucy and Steven xx

Difficult to conclude what is the best part of a stay at Culag ... the location is from another world ... the cottages are warm and inviting ... and Patric is simply a wonderful person who loves what he does and does it superbly! ... this is a perfect spot to get a good dose of "la dolce far niente" (the sweetness of doing nothing). I could never tire of this place and would love to return.

Probably the best B & B we've ever stayed at!
We had originally booked for November last year but had to cancel several times. The proprietors were very understanding and patient and managed to fit us in when we finally were able to confirm a date even though it coincided with a wedding booking.
Very clean and comfortable with a location to die for. Very friendly staff too.
Well worth it's high rating, the only downer is its proximity to the main road so road noise can be an issue.

Right on the loch. About 25 mins. Walk to the village of Luss. Friendly staff; Patrick tries to accommodate all requests.
We had one of the rooms separate to the main house; basic room, but comfortable ( a bit like the inside of a caravan bedroom).
For the price and the view you can't complain. Definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Try to get an end room, with direct views to the loch.
