stopped at the Rhu Inn a lovely quaint place Jane who cooked our delightful breakfast every morning is a real treasure, nothing too much trouble. Having been out most of the day it was a pleasure to come back to the friendly staff who run the bar .they do toasties up till 8pm. If you want something more substantial the staff with phone for a take away which they will then put on plates so you can eat it with your drink. More places should copy their way. will be back

Room Tip: room 2 overlooking the sea very picturesque and quite

The accommodation at the Rhu Inn is on the 1st floor above the bar, which consists of 5 rooms. There is a shared toilet and a shower room, which were kept clean.
My room contained a single bed, pushed against a wall, with wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinet. There was a wall mounted TV, a small kettle and a hair dryer in the room. The décor was neutral, but the walls needed re-painting where marks from damp and previous wall brackets were evident. The free Wi-Fi worked well.
I had a good view from the room overlooking the Loch, however the traffic noise from the road in front of the hotel was invasive well past midnight, and then again early in the morning. Only having a single glazed window didn’t help.
Breakfast is pre-ordered the night before, with a choice of cereals or porridge and a variety of cooked breakfast including a full Scottish. This is served in a small room on the first floor, with 2 pre-laid tables. Disappointingly there is no TV, radio or papers available in the Breakfast Room, so sitting in there by yourself can be rather a miserable experience.
On the 3 nights I stayed there, I did not notice any noise from the bar.

Visited here during an overnight stay at Rhu Marina, about 5 minutes walk away. Lots of local customers and a lively atmosphere on a busy Bank Holiday Sunday night.

Great beer and company in a proper old fashioned pub with a friendly face behind the bar.

Definitely worth a visit if you are in Rhu.

Chose this inn at random for a three day stay.
This is a thriving (but a bit scruffy) village inn and as such there are noise problems particularly on Friday which is music night.
Do not let this put you off; just enjoy the music and atmosphere and the stunning views over the Clyde from the front rooms. Room 2 is particularly good.
Excellent breakfast, friendly staff and all for £30/night.
I miss it already

Room Tip: Ask for room 2 with bay window and uninterrupted views across the CLyde
