“Fantastic weekend”
Reviewed 9 February 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed a couple of nights along with our dogs. Lovely setting and large room with a great view. The hotel is very dog friendly - there wee 12 dogs in the hotel on one night! Several were in the bar at once and it was lovely around an open fire with great conversation and friendly staff. All very clean. The breakfasts were fantastic and the rest I would descibe as good pub grub which is vey fitting for the setting. Will we be back? I think the question is when rather than if but woud not recommend in season when the road will be very busy!

Recently my husband and I stayed at The Rowardennan for a short winter break.
Given the time of year, we were expecting to be the only visitors there so we were pleasantly surprised to find several other couples there also.
Our room was clean & comfortable with a lovely view over the loch just as requested.
The bar & restaurant area were super with fabulous log fires in each.
Breakfast was well served & with various options to choose from and evening meals were all home cooked and most enjoyable.
I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic getaway.

I stayed here as a stop over on my way from Loch Awe, very friendly hotel. Bar was warm - lovely log fire where my dog curled up and went to sleep after a long day walking whilst I had some food - this was excellent and the barman very friendly.
Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. My border collie was welcomed in the room and in the bar area. The hotel is on the West Highland Way and handy for Ben Lomond too. Excellen

stayed here for 2 nights check in was quick had room on top floor which was spotlessly clean the bathroom nice & modern with shower cubicle. first night we thought at first we were hearing things when we heard a dog howling & barking but it was next door to us and this happened when the owners left it alone. managed to mention to the couple that night when the bar had closed and they had come upstairs. after that we had a great sleep but got woke up again with said dog when the owners went down for an early breakfast think someone else must have complained as they had to come back upstairs.2nd night it was a bit windy and the air condition thing in bathroom made a hell of a racket as the wind was blowing into it so this woke us up quite a few times during the night. apart from that the j
hotel is in a beautiful location with great walks breakfast was great bar food was reasonable staff were lovely i would go back but ill be asking if dogs are booked in :)

This is a brilliant hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond and excellently priced for the time of year we spent there. Rooms are modern with spotless toilet facilities .
Food was excellent and a short walk to the pier that sits on the banks of loch Lomond.

The east side of the loch is a dead end and with little traffic to disturb this wonderfully peaceful location. Great walking area with the West Highland way close by which we never got round to trying .

Would highly recommend this hotel in particularly the level of service from the spanish waitress and Hungarian waiter . Definitely an excellent lspot to discover other locations around the Loch.

A spur of the moment decision to go away for a night that wasn't at all let down by the experience. The hotel itself is lovely and is situated in an area of outstanding beauty. Our room was nice and was well presented, on entry the room heater was on Max a nice touch considering the outside temperatures. All the staff are hard working , professional and cheery......... The food on offer was really good, the fires in both the bar areas were lit giving a cosy feeling throughout. Overall this was a positive experience made all the better by the scenery and local walks. Haste ye back as we say in these parts I will be return .....
