“Absolute gem in a beautiful location”
Reviewed 13 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We recently enjoyed a glorious site seeing week at this cosy cottage. Absolutely everything was catered for, plenty of utensils, linen, books and dvd's. Gorgeous location with Loch Lomond right on your doorstep, boat trips available every day although unfortunately thats the one thing we did not get to do. We had a lovely run over to Fort William, the views going over Glencoe are amazing, worth the trip. Cycle hire is also available down by the Loch, and we took an enjoyable cycle ride down to Inverbeg, very peaceful alongside the Loch, beautiful views. Would really recommend this cottage as a brillant base to explore the area. Would definitely like to return.

“Magic Cottage Next to Loch Lomond”

We stayed for just under a week. This is an excellent base to tour Loch Lomond. Boats are within walking distance. There is a hotel also within walking distance which does reasonable food and loads of other restaurants and cafes in the locality. The owners have left a convenient guide to the best and where they are. The cottage was spotlessly clean and there was every facility available. There are TV, DVDs and book libraries provided for inclement weather. On arrival we found milk, bread, butter scones and flowers from the owners, who were there to greet us and explain everything. The kitchen has been refurbished and had more than enough cutlery, crockery and utensils.
You go to Scotland to be out and about, but when you're finished it is nice to come back to a comfortable bed and they certainly were. Good too to have adequate parking outside the front door.

“Dream location, all mod cons and magnificent scenery on your doorstep”

Spent a memorable week in a fantastically well appointed, cosy and warm plus all mod cons cottage. Deceptively spacious and everything we needed and made to feel very much at home by the owner/host who met us on arrival after a car journey up from London. Easy parking right outside and plenty of room for all of our kit, including golf clubs. Tons to do locally and some accessible Munros nearby. We did the Cobbler and Ben Narnain, the boat trip across the Loch and down to see family in Glasgow. My 11 year old and I even played golf at Inverary GC. Recommend for provisions the supermarkets in Dunfermline or the newly opened, when we went, Waitrose in Helensburgh. All in all a fantastic holiday for us in a lovely cottage, very highly recommended and top rated. PS watch out for speed camera on the main road out of Tarbet to the west!
