My husband & I stayed at the Ben Doran in August and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience of our coach holiday. The hotel was great & very clean. Staff polite & cheerful. Would like to say a very big thank you to our driver John for showing us some of the beautiful places & scenery of the Highlands. He was very knowledgable & had a great sense of humour. Also many thanks to our relief driver Bill. The food & entertainment were exceptional - 100% perfect. We are now looking forward to holidaying with Highland Heritage again in April of next year. I would definately recommend a holiday with your company to anyone who is thinking of this type of holiday. Once again many thanks to all concerned.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 2nd floor to the rear of the hotel, with the sound of water outside our room, which...

Just returned from 5 nights with Highland Heritage at the Ben Doran Tyndrum.
Made very welcome, good standard of food and organisation, interesting coach trips and very good/knowledgable drivers. We arrived via our own car so were able to skip the optionable day trip and do our own thing. Great value for money. I am amazed that some reviewers
moan about the intensity of hand gel use in the Hotel, the gel use is so important to ensure
Noro virus is kept at bay particularly as a high percentage of visitors to the Ben Doran are quite elderly. As a retiree from the NHS you really dont want to get this virus.
Great location in a very nice part of Scotland.

we stayed in the ben doran hotel in tyndrum, first i must say...i was not expecting it to be all elderly people,it was...but dont get me wrong we loved it, the place was in the middle of nowhere,if you want peace and quiet its great. The hotel was spotless, staff very polite, food was great, surrounded by mountains and hills the hotel was beatifull the gardens are a credit to its owner, who by the way is the gardener but i didnt know that when i met him at the dalmally hotel and asked him what he feeds his" gunerra manicata" funny at the time, the trips you go on are well worth the money, well some are not so good but we missed them and just went on the ones we liked, the only thing i didnt like about the hotel, was that im a smoker and quite a few of the other guests were too and there were no seats out side the hotel to sit down and have a coffee and a smoke or just to sit and have a cup of tea and enjoy the gardens, another bad thing i think should be put right is the hotel has two conservatories either side of the main entrance which would be lovely to sit in in the morning with a drink of tea and enjoy the surrounding countryside....but alas no its full of plants no seats just plants....to me that just defeats the object of having a hotel in such a beautiful place, all the lovely gardens and ponds and a conservatory full of plants. The other thing is the dining room, quite a few guests complained about how hot the dining room is with all those people in there at the same time it was too hot to eat and at times unbearable we had to eat as quickly as we could to get out....so air conditioning please or windows open, not all of us are in our seventies, overall very good holiday, enjoyable oh and the gel thing is good but i caught a cold proberbly in the dining room...haha

Before I start let me just say that this Is our first coach trip we have done so we are unable to compare with other tours or companies.
We have just got back from a five day Best of Scotland staying at the Ben Doran hotel.
Ben Doran is in a fantastic location and well maintained with lots of flowers and water features around the grounds well done to the gardner for keeping it so beautiful.
From the greeting when we arrived to leaving all the staff was friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble.
Our room even though it was on the second floor and next to the lift area and almost under the kitchen (which is located on the top floor along with the lounge and dinning room to take in the spectacular views around the hotel) wasn't as noisy as we thought it would be, our room was of a good size and had all you needed from tea making, TV and even a hairdryer etc with the toilet shower and bath en-suite could not fault the room.
We both enjoyed being greeted by all the dinning room staff on the way into the dinning room including the manager which was a nice touchFor the meals you had a choice of three on each course and is different on each day, the meals we had was fantastic so a big thank you to the chef and his team, so all in all we both give the Ben Doran top marks and would most definitely stay their again, so a big thank you and well done to Morgan and his staff for looking after us so well.
but its the tours which is really what our holiday is all about so to our courier driver Bill, right from the start in Leicester and return, Bills driving was first class, you felt safe and comfortable. But what made our holiday and each trip memorable was Bills superb knowledge of the area, Bill kept so you well informed with interesting facts and stories on each trip which was also at times extremely funny we so looked forward to Bill speaking to us, we could listen to him all day long.
So our biggest thanks for making our holiday so wonderful has go to Bill, so if Ian Cleaver could pass onto Bill the biggest thank you from  myself and my wife, we both are looking forward to our next holiday with you. Well done Bill.

We stayed at this hotel owned along with others in the area by a Mr. Cleaver who puts together a wonderful package of coach sightseeing around the area, good food and accomodation. Add to that nightly entertainment of a high standard with dancing and it is all you could look for in a relaxed, competitively priced holiday.

Room Tip: The hotel is built with all the bedrooms on the first two floors and the restaurant, pool room and l...
