Found this place whilst doing the West Highland Way, very welcoming and friendly staff and the food was great tasted good and portion sizes generous. Would certainly eat here again.

This is a very welcoming and informal place to stop for a lunch and couple of drinks. Very nice and cosy on a cold day.

I stopped here with my boyfriend and his young daughter on a camping trip hoping for a hot meal and a nice atmosphere.
The service was a joke. I have never heard of such a rude waitress in my life, clearly in some sort of perceived position of power and under the impression that since most of the visiting trade were tourists that she would never see them again so it didn't matter. She spoke in short, sharp sentences, not a smile to be seen and ignored my boyfriend completely when he went to the bar to order. On reading other reviews I think this tall, dark haired woman is seriously damaging the business and should be one of the changes the supposed new owners make.
The food was hilarious, I had what appeared to be a white shiney welly boot they were trying to pass off as chicken, with haggis and lumpy mash which had a skin on it from being microwaved. The carrots were the best part of this meal, since they were so undercooked it was clear the "chef" didn't have much to do with them.
My boyfriend had the steak pie, served as it often is in a wee dish. You would usually expect the contents to be piping hot, being served this way. The reality was that it was just above room temperature and completely overcooked.. as in, prepped in the bowels of hell then reheated with a hairdryer. It was again served with the neglected carrots.
Thankfully the kids meal was a bit more fit for human consumption. Although the burger was underseasoned and lacking in flavour, a bit of salt and pepper sorted that out no bother. The bun was cheap and clearly frozen then defrosted to order as it completely disintegrated.
Be aware, you pay for your meal when you order. I would take all steps within my power avoid this place. It may perhaps be worth a try in future, when the new owners make the promised coming changes, but not anytime soon. This poor place has a fab location and its a shame to see it go to waste like this.
