“Lovely location”
Reviewed 15 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Glengarry lodge was a lovely place to stay with wonderful views. It was very clean and comfortable with everything you need for a self catering holiday. It's a good location for exploring both the west coast and Perthshire. Ellen and Andy were really friendly and helpful . There was homemade flapjacks, jam and some milk left for us which was really nice. Loved the chickens that came to say hello every day. Would definitely visit again.

“Wonderful place”
Reviewed 14 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Friendly greeting on arrival, which is always a good start. Short but steep walk up the steps to the lodge to be welcomed by 5 friendly chickens and once inside the small, but snug and cosy cabin, homemade jam, cake and milk.

The cabin is clean and tidy and is ideal for couples or small family and has all that you need in this stunning location. The weather for our stay was mostly wet but there is plenty in the cabin to entertain yourself with (games, tv, dvd, wifi) and the great outdoors, nearby or further afield is spectacular.

The village of Tyndrum is a short walk away (and adjacent to the West Highland Way) .. would recommend the localmpub, Real Food Cafe and Green Well Stop for food .. the latter has an excellent gift and whisky shop, two cafes, convenience store (albeit limited in stock and many items are expensive) and a fuel .. nearest large supermarkets are in Oban (Tesco) or Dumbarton (Asda, Aldi).

To the north is stunning Glencoe, and beyond with beautiful Loch Lomond to the south; Oban to the west with the Trossachs to the east .. which makes Tyndrum ideally located.

Thoroughly recommend this place ☺. Thank you Ellen and Andy for allowing us to stay; we hope to return one day.

“Great place to stay”

Glengarry Lodge is a lovely place to stay to explore Loch Lomond or Glencoe/Fort William area. We had a great visit. The Lodge is very accessible as it is right off the main road (A82), but the traffic noise didn't reach us at all. The views from the cottage are stunning. We saw deer out the back and there are chickens in the garden and cows outside. It would be a great place to stay if you wanted to do some walking locally as there is a drying room etc.

Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, recommending places to stay and doing some washing for us.

The cottage is a great size for a small family or friends. It is well equipped and the hosts had thoughtfully equipped it, including with toiletries and basic kitchen necessities, and a lovely cake on arrival. There were one or two small niggles e.g. shower wasn't quite as hot as we would like, but nothing that would put me off from coming again.

The price of the cottage for a week was very reasonable.

“Lovely Lodge”
Reviewed 29 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Spent a superb week in the lodge with my family. Lots to do with the kids highlights included a trip to Kilchurn Castle and Auchingarrich Wildlife park. We also spent a fab day in Crieff on the play park! Our girls loved the zip wire. The lodge has everything you need to cook hearty family meals and nothing is too much trouble for the helpful hosts Andy and Ellen. On several of the evenings we were lucky enough to see the deer in the fields behind. Overall an excellent place to stay!
