“Fantastic !”
Reviewed 7 July 2013

I booked 3 rooms here for myself and 4 others when we were completing the WHW. This couple seem to have everything just right to ensure you have a great stay. Very comfortable, immaculately clean rooms and great service. Tea made for our arrival and a lovely conservatory to relax in.

It happened to be my Birthday while there and my friends had organised fizz, balloons etc as a surprise. Ellen had gone out of her way to organise a birthday cake sourced locally so that my friend did not need to transport it. Champagne glasses, ice etc were readily available. Breakfast was one of the best on our trip.

If you need to stay in Tyndrum then book here ..... you won't be disappointed!

Our third stay at Glengarry House. Rooms are very comfortable. Food is excellent especially the welcome cup of tea and flapjack on arrival. What made this trip that bit special was the loan of a knee brace. My wife had developed considerable knee pain that afternoon before we arrived and this was likely to halt further progress as we had 19 miles to walk the next day. Ellen suggested that a knee brace would help and offered to lend hers. It worked a treat with no further pain throughout the walk. We shall always stay at Glengarry House when we come to Scotland.

after a day's walking on the west highland way, it was a joy to spend a night here. The welcome, with drink and flapjack, was warm and kind. The room was extremely comfortable indeed with all a weary walker needed. The breakfast was excellent and set us up well for another day's walk. the owners try so hard to make your stay good, they go above and beyond.

Room Tip: from our sneak peek into the other rooms, all 3 rooms looked of equally high standard

Glengarry House by far was the best accommodation we had on the WHW. From Ellen's welcoming cup of tea when we arrived to the time we left. Our hosts Andy and Ellen couldn't do enough for us. The attention to detail was outstanding and Ellen was very informative of what we had in store for the rest of the walk having done this herself many times. Would highly recommend ordering the evening meal. The choices of salmon, lamb shank and even homemade ice cream were delicious. Very comfortable accommodation with fantastic hosts.

We stayed in the lodge for 2 days on a walking holiday break - it was everything that we need and the most comfortable bed ever. It was great to have breakfast eating fresh eggs given to us from Ellen & Andy (from the chickens that roam around the garden) I would highly recommend this and it was great that we were allowed the dog in the lodge. Looking forward to going back again soon - this time with no dog and get the chance to have the highly recommend breakfast.

Great B&B on the WHW. Rooms are absolutely great and the hosts are very welcoming.

We arrived after eating at the Tyndrum Inn and were pleased to find a lovely comfortable room.

Would highly recommend.

We stayed here whilst walking the West Highland Way and it was a very welcome stop. When we arrived Ellen served us coffee in the conservatory, a lovely touch I thought. Very comfortable room, loved just sitting watching the chickens out the window. Breakfast in the morning was delicious (provided by said chickens). I would certainly recommend staying at Glengarry House and even though it's not that far from where we live, we would certainly consider staying there again just for a night away.
