Surprising because my first impression when we arrived at this pre-booked B&B was ooh this is a bit isolated and probably therefore a bit ordinary and being right on the main road will doubtless be noisy - it wasn't any of these. Ellen was most welcoming from the moment we entered the door and after a long day of driving her offer of tea and cake in the sunroom was just what we needed.
This B&B has 3 rooms up a fairly steep set of stairs so just bring the bare minimum from the car! Our room was large with a big window overlooking the road and a small but modern and clean ensuite. The king bed (not too big for the room) was firm but comfortable and the double glazed window blocked out most of the road noise. Fortunately the noise abated relatively early in the evening anyway. Free wifi - no log in or password required. Good access to a couple of pubs just up the road changed my first negative impression re the location.
The only real negative was the shower - ordinary water pressure and a bit squeezy!
The breakfast room in the morning was really nicely set up with comfortable seats (not hard wooden or laminate as can often be found), well set tables and good quality crockery. A good range of cereals including muesli , yogurt and fresh and tinned fruits was on offer and a filling cooked breakfast including all the usual Scottish fare all served up by a very friendly and smiling Andy.

Room Tip: Room at the back of the house might be quieter but this is not such a big deal

Glengarry house is a very good bed and breakfast, we get a warm welcome from Andy when we are staying there on our way on the West Highland Way. We had our dinner there, it was fantastic.

The rooms were also very nice and also the house is near the road you will not hear it

TIP Tast the homemade Flapjack's from Ellen

Stayed here for the second year running doing the West Highland Way. A warm welcome like long lost friends and a lovely cup of tea and homemade cake to ease the pains away. Dinner was cooked to perfection and nothing was too much trouble. May not be doing the walk again but will never pass this door for accommodation!! Thank you both. Pat Pilgrim

Room Tip: All rooms lovely

Stayed for one night on our whw walk, greeted with coffee and home made flapjacks!! Absolutely superb! Ellen gave us a lift up to the town which was very welcome after a long day on our feet ! Wish we had known that we could have eaten with you we would not have bothered with the fish tea up town ! Although it was great .The rooms were absolutely spot on lovely warm shower ! Breakfast was a treat and set us up for the days walking, will definately stay again if ever in the area

We really enjoyed our stay over at Glengarry House after a days walking. It was easy to find, well located in relation to Tyndrum and beautifully decorated throughout. We were greeted by friendly hosts and shown to our room, our bags were already in the room for us

The room itself was a family room, well equipped with a lovely view over the garden. There were lots of lovely touches here such as freshly baked flapjack on arrival and hand crafted gifts for sale. The breakfast was lovely and well presented. Really nice thank you
