Nice little place if you need a break from driving around the highlands. Rooms comfy for family, nice bar and good pub food menu extensive. There is a separate restaurant next door but it's the same menu. It could do with a kids play area but overall it's fine.

A well appointed venue with a busy, friendly bar but the room, at £80, was way way overpriced even at the height of summer...the shower cubicle shook like a tardis going at warp speed and the toilet was cramped with little room for movement of any kind...brown wallpaper does nothing for creating the illusion of space... maybe we got a bad room but left here feeling distinctly ripped off despite a hearty breakfast ... think about charging £50-£60 and you might get it right!

Room Tip: Avoid room 5!!!

The shower was not thoroughly cleaned. Also, the shower head was a fixed one, the water pressure was low, and, worst of all, the shower head was so low I had to bend down to wash my hair. It took twenty minutes to have a shower.
Other things: the light above the bed did not work, and one of the sockets almost claimef my phone charger as it got stuck in there.

Spent one night here, travelling out to the west coast. Really friendly staff, great bar. Our room was a really good size and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom? Just fabulous. Clearly some money has been spent on this place, and it's well worth a visit even if it's just a quick overnight. Great value too!

We often stop here on route to Lochaber and have always enjoyed a bite to eat or refreshment.
Lovely little inn with good pub food and reasonably priced drinks, and we have also always found the staff to be courteous and friendly.
There are several places we have used on this route (Kilmarnock to Lochaline) including The Drovers Inn, The Ardlui Hotel, The Rod and Reel, and The onich Hotel, however off them all this is the one we feel most comfortable in, and feel is the best value for money with the best quality food.
We visited again last week and for the first time had a slight hiccup with our order/food, which I think would be unfair to elaborate on given that (a) it was a genuine mistake, and (b) it was dealt with in a very prompt, professional and courteous manner by Ronnie, the manager on duty that particular day.
In fact the reason I write this review is not to highlight the problem but rather to praise this young man who, upon being informed of our issue, immediately apologised profusely, waived the entire bill which included 2 starters, 1 main and a couple of drinks, and then offered us another drink!
You have to be far travelled to experience that kind of service.
Ronnie, thank you, you are a credit to your employers!

Stayed here on the West Highland Way, having stayed here several times before in previous years whilst doing the same walk. Stayed this time in one of the improved, updated, redecorated rooms - what a difference! Once all the rooms are to the same standard this will be one of the nicest places in the area. Food was good and plentiful, staff helpful and friendly, it was a much better experience than previous stay, so keep up the good work guys, and see you again!

My girlfriend and I stayed here as part of my car club weekend. We stay three nights. The room was not one of the updated ones but was clean and comfortable if a little dated. The food was good throughout the weekend and the staff went all out to provide everything we asked for. I have no problem recommending the place. I would stay there again should I find myself up that way.

Room Tip: Ask for a refurbished room.
