Our rooms were very comfortable, and spotlessly clean, golf all close by, we had dinner a couple of times which was excellent.

Kerr cottage is the place to stay if you either passing through or staying for sometime in the area. The rooms are 5 star quality, beautifully clean and furnished.
Liz and Ian are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfast was probably the best full Scottish I've had in years and the cream tea when I arrived set the tone for the rest of the stay.
The venue is easy to find and ideally situated to explore the wonderful Borders region.
I will certainly be making a return visit if i can get in!

This is a great B&B to use as a base when visiting the Solway Coast. Both Liz and Ian could not have been more friendly welcoming and helpful. We stayed in Room "S" which was an immaculate double ensuite finished to a high standard with one of the most comfortable beds we have stayed in when away from home. Liz recommended and place in the town centre for us to eat which fitted our needs perfectly and in the morning she prepared a great breakfast to order.

Next time we are in the area I will have no hesitation in giving Liz a call ( or sending her an email) to book us in again. Hopefully she will have a vacancy and Ian won't have to help push one of our motorbikes which had broken down.

On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Liz who took us up to our room 'P'. Very knowlegable about the area Liz and Ian were able to recommend Sandyhills and a few other equally beautiful places to visit (including an ice cream factory!).
The ensuite room was very comfortable and provided the perfect place to relax for the night, with a TV and tea and coffee making facillities.
Breakfast was lovely and again we were greated warmly by Liz who provided a cooked breakfast for my friend and I- including a vegetarian cooked breakfast option for myself (you just need to let her know your vegetarian before you arrive).
I will certainly return to Kerr Cottage again and most definately recommend to others.

Kerr Cottage rates as one of the best B & B accomadation we have ever experienced. On every aspect they have excelled. Ian and Liz are wonderful hosts being friendley and helpful. The food is great, and we recomend the evening meal menu. The rooms are well appointed, very clean and welcoming.
Dalbeattie is an ideal base for touring the South-West of Scotland with a variety of local interest.
We will be back for more

We stayed in the 'S' room on the upper floor which was very comfortable indeed. Dinner was served when we asked for it and the food was excellent and generous in portions. Liz & Ian made us feel most welcome as if we had known them forever. We are already planning our return.

If you are looking for a 'home away from home' Kerr Cottage is the perfect place to stay. Fantastic and friendly 5* service and lovely newly refurbished rooms and lovely Scottish breakfast personally cooked by Liz and served in a nice light and airy conservatory.

The location is absolutely perfect too - particularly for the golf lovers amongst us - numerous lovely golf courses within a matter of minutes and plenty of other activity options in the local area for walks / cycling or canoeing.

Hope you have a lovely stay just like we did - we can't wait to go back
