Really enjoyed our stay here - the food is exquisite!

Really comfortable, clean, relaxed nicely decorated (saw every room) Good traditional service and style. This is how things should be done! Also owner Sian, very friendly.

Already recommended to friends and family.

Thank you

My partner & I arrived at Knockinaam expecting service in line with a michelin starred establishedment. The receptioned we received was nothing short of frosty from their housekeeper/receptionist. We were made to feel as if we were a burden on their daily routines which was slighly annoying conisdering the amount of money we were paying.

The food was excellent as were the rooms. The welcome in the evening from the proprietor was extremely friendly and genuine.

Our inital impressions were turn round and walk out as good service shouldn't have to be demanded. The location was what made us stay.

During our stay we witnessed may ocassions of eyeball rolling at guests requests.

Would we return. No.

Husband and I are frequent visitors to the Luxury Scotalnd range of hotels and really have yet to be disappointed but although this hotel is set in a rather lovely and very remote spot, we felt that the ambiance was rather that of a high class guest house with quaint small sized bedrooms (bay) and two small drawing rooms for guests use. The fires remained unlit on the most blustery, cold wet day! What a missed opportunity.

The chef is talented but rather controlled on portion size and left us wanting more both at dinner and breakfast. Freshly squeezed orange juice was exactly that a squeezed orange, singular!

Would we visit again, no. There are far too many other wonderful places to stay that really deliver the goods.

Good try but no Cigar.

We went in mid July for our first wedding anniversary. We stayed in the Churchill room which was excellent, albeit with a very limited sea view. We booked on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis for £390.

The hotel is on the expensive side but excellently maintained, great views of the sea over the hotel grounds and situated in it's own secluded bay.

Well worth the trip, I am sure we will go back.

This is a really nice little hotel. Very quietly nestled on a beach and surrounded by trees and cliff. The staff is extremely nice without overdoing it. The bedroom and bathroom are very well decorated and comfortable.

Above all, the food is superb. It's probably one of the best restaurant in Scotland, I agree with the guide books. The dining room is just a bit dull though compare to the cozy sitting rooms.

It's really worth the detour!

A forth return visit to this lovely hotel, left us wanting to come back again. Welcoming, friendly, and intimate, it has over the ten years we have been visiting Knockinaam, consistently delivered excellence. Which considering it has had three owners in that time is rather remarkable.

Try it once, and you will return.

Truly lovely hotel. A small road leads you down to the beach where the hotel is located, seemingly miles from everywhere. The staff are very welcoming and the service all weekend was excellent.
The rooms have modern furnishings and are most comfortable. Great views of the sea and over to Ireland.
We had two breakfasts and dinners and all were superb. Enormous wine and whisky list.
The is also a lovely clifftop walk from the hotel to the small town of Portpatrick.
The hotel is very quiet, secluded but with wonderful views, great food and super service. I would highly recommend it.
