Great location within level walking distance of everything Port Patrick has to offer. Lovely clean spacious rooms and a great breakfast to start the day. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Keith for a great stay.

Room Tip: All rooms quiet but front room has bay window and great view.

The Muirhead Guest House is run by Keith and comes highly recommended, as it is just a few short steps from the harbour, the wonderful Waterfront Restaurant and is also very close to the other hotels, pubs and shops in this lovely little spot.

We stayed in the double room on the upper floor with bay window and fantastic views. My mum stayed in the twin room on the ground floor which suited her very well, as she has problems climbing stairs. Everything is spotlessly clean and Keith provides "shoe trays" directly inside your room entry door, which is great if you've been out walking and saves any messing of carpets.

Both rooms are very modern, spacious, tastefully decorated and have very comfortable beds. En suite shower rooms have power showers (lovely!), and soap, handwash, shampoo and shower gel is supplied, which was very convenient. A welcome tray with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits awaits you after your journey, and is replenished daily.

There is lots of space for clothes storage ~ double wardrobe, dressing table, single chest on either side of double bed. (Twin room on ground floor has these too). Hairdryers are also supplied in both rooms, which was fab, as I'd forgotten mine! Our double room also has 2 comfy armchairs positioned close to the window, allowing you to relax and enjoy the wonderful views.

The breakfast will really set you up for the day! Orange juice, a choice of 8 different cereals, HUGE cooked breakfast, which was delicious, comprising of egg, bacon, sausages, tomato, beans, tattie scone, mushrooms and as much toast as you like. (Think I've remembered everything ~ there was so much). You can choose to have lesser portions if you like, which suited my mum. Ketchups are also supplied, if you wish.

A wonderful weekend stay ~ thanks so much to Keith for making it so memorable and comfortable. We will certainly be back!

Room Tip: If able to climb stairs, choose the double room on upper floor with bay window ~ stunning!

This is a real find! Great location, immaculately clean with comfortable beds and a excellent en suite. This is a home from home with your own doorkey and Keith cooks an excellent breakfast. If you want a base for an active out and about stay in the Portpatrick area your are in luck. Situated a stonesthrow from the harbour, there are several good eating places,a post office and shops around the corner.

My wife and I stayed at the Muirhead Guest House for two nights. Our bedroom was excellent with plenty of room. Breakfast was great. Muirhead also overlooks the putting green so is lovely and quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

It was a busy week in Portpatrick, and the main places in town fully booked, but that's just as well as we got to enjoy this gem of a place instead. We chose the bay window room which is a large attractive room with a huge en-suite and pleasant views over some pretty walled private gardens across the road, putting greens, and green hills rising behind. This B&B is immaculately clean, and the service top notch. The host, Keith, is a very nice man and we really enjoyed chatting with him. He also served us an excellent breakfast along with helpful information about the area including which pub would have live music, good places for evening meals, recommended short hikes and the like. Highly Recommended.

Room Tip: We did not see the other rooms, but the bay window room at the front of the house was one of the nic...

We stayed just one night in double room at back of house but we did view twin room and also the double overlooking putting green All rooms are thoroughly spotless, and tastefully decorated. Selection of Cereals & cooked breakfast dine specifically to your order & plenty of toast/tea was supplied. This is a little gem of a b & b.
