Once again Keith Benton who owns and runs this superior B&B in Portpatrick pulls out all the stops to make your stay a pleasnt one.Only has 3 rooms one downstairs and 2 upstairs, room with Bay window overlooking putting green is a delight, room bright and airy and refreshingly clean as are the other 2 rooms but no bay window, would not hesitate in recommending this B&B to anyone -

Went for short break - glad we did. Spotless. Room 2 beautiful. One of the best and biggest breakfasts we have ever had the pleasure to have. Very central. The host Keith very very helpful. Portpatrick itself very beautiful.

Stayed at the Muirhead Guest House for one night in August. We have stayed in Portpatrick twice before and on both occasions stayed at The Knowe - this is now a large self catering accomodation and for this reason we chose to stay at Muirhead... We were very pleased that we chose to stay here. Greeted by Keith who showed us to our room (No 3) were we dumped our bags and went for a walk. Room was very clean as was the bathroom - very comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. Two second walk to the main street, literally. Breakfast was top class and set us up for the day. Would definately stay here again... Brilliant!

We spent four nights here mid-May, and although the weather could have been better, the welcome we received was warm and friendly. Lovely room at the front, which looked out over the putting green and had glimpses of the sea only 100 yards away. It was also light and airy, with a big bay window, and a deliciously powerful shower! We couldn't fault the breakfasts, cooked to order by mine host, and more than enough to set us up for a day site-seeing. This is only a B&B, but there are plenty of places to get an evening meal within a few hundred yards of the guesthouse, all equally welcoming and reasonably priced. If you want pretty coastal scenery and an away-from-it-all break, this is the place!

Having been to Portpatrick on numerous occasions, we decided to stay, after perusing tripadvisor, we came across the Muirhead guest house, and booked for 2 nights, it was fabulous! and it was in a ideal location for all of the shops and pubs.
The room was clean and tidy and had all the mod cons including the best power shower I have every used!, the breakfast was tasty and filling, and nothing was to much trouble for the hosts Duncan and Marie, we hope to go back soon.

The Muirheads Guest House is just 100 metres from Portpatrick's harbour. Our room was large, warm, bright and , like the rest of the house, tastefully furnished. Lovely cotton bed linen and a decent sized shower room with power shower and loads of hot water. We had a very friendly welcome from Duncan and Marie and the breakfast is excellent - lots of cereal, fresh fruit and yoghurt followed by whatever you want cooked to perfection. This is excellent value for money. We can thoroughly recommend it.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at the Muirhead guest house, Portpatrick. Its location is superb - right in the heart of the village but in a lovely quiet area. We had a large, en-suite double room with views over the putting green. The accommodation was modern and spotless with all of the home comforts you could need. Breakfast was great and the hospitality excellent.
