We love Stranraer, this our second visit to Elaine at the Lakeview, she is always welcoming, the rooms are nice and the breakfasts are lovely! Lovely location. Some nice easy walking here with nice views of Loch Ryan

The accommodation was exceptionally clean and the breakfast was excellent. The room we had was small with little room for storing clothes. It was OK for 2 nights but, if staying longer, it would not be appropriate. The location was great and the couple who run it are very friendly and helpful. We arrived earlier than expected but that was no problem for the owners....great!

Would definitely visit again for a one-night visit.

This was a first class guest house. I had a single room that was en-suite. The room was spotless and very cosy with extremely good and spacious bathroom. The owners were friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. The breakfast was also first class, served with a more than generous pot of tea and a wide choice of cereals. This was my first stay in Scotland and would recommend this as a great place to stay, very close to the town centre. The price was good value for money.

I used this B & B either side of a ferry journey home to Northern Ireland. It was excellent!
The lady was very friendly, the rooms were spotless both times I stayed. The breakfast was great quality and health. They are happy to accommodate late arrivals and early departures for ferry travellers.

Lovely bed and breakfast run by husband and wife team. The front of house is dealt with by the lady of the house. Lovely and friendly and nothing seemed to much trouble.

I had the single room (room 2) which was lovely although a little small. It was only one night so that didn't matter that much. The shower wasn't very powerful but adequate.

The breakfast was traditional Scottish full fry up with haggis and was lovely. There was enough food and I suppose if I was being ultra critical would have been nicer on a larger plate as it looked overcrowded. The eggs were SO fresh and yellow and tasted lovely.

So overall a lovely homely bed and breakfast very convenient for the town centre. And yes I would def stay here again.
