Returned again to this amazing site, this time with a new member of our family, our new dog. Just when we thought the site couldn't get any better - it does! Brilliant to see all the new additions to the site - outside shower to wash sand from wetsuits / shoes and the dog! ( thus keeping the shower facilities in their immaculate condition). Great new path to the beach...Lovely bread for breakfast - yum ! It just keeps getting better. Most of all really appreciate the ' pet friendliness' of Sunnyside. Despite many guests having pets, the site remains immaculate, thanks to Julie & Ian's hard work and professionalism. Great to see the site busy and thriving, yet lovely and peaceful and quiet, still with those wonderful views and well thought out pitches. unlike other sites we have stayed in, we have plenty of room and privacy on the huge hard standing pitch. Once again, thank you, Sunnyside ( and Julie & Ian) for an amazing holiday!

We have just retuned from a 2 night stay at Sunnyside Croft, first impressions were very impressive, we were met by owners Ian and his wife, a very lovely friendly couple, i was shown around the facilities and they were immaculate and looked like they had never been used. My touring caravan pitch was a good size gravel pitch but feel they were a bit squashed together and a bit on top of each other, we found we had to keep our blinds half closed to have some privacy.
We got settled in and took our dogs down to the beach. The beach is a few minutes walk down the sites own path, its lovely and well worth it. When we got back we took off our beach shoes and went to wash the sand off our feet in the shower- against the rules, Ian came across to tell us off and tell us it takes them a lot of time to clean the showers, we didn't realise there was an outside shower for washing sand off. Almost every time after that he always seemed to be around and following us to check up on us.
The following day we noticed a sign up on the Toilet door, more rules! the management had noticed that pet owners had been seen exercising their dogs on the site and letting them poo and urinate on the grass, obviously i wouldn't dream of leaving dog poo on the grass but other than putting nappy's on the dogs i wouldn't know how to stop them urinating on the grass. It also mentioned that the tethers needed to be 3 meters long, mine were 5, oops!
We were going to have a BBQ but were that paranoid that we were going to be breaking rules we didn't bother.
Also the Chemical toilet disposal tap didn't work so i couldn't clean the cassette out.
All in all, it is a lovely site if you don't mind the regimental approach and the constant feeling that you were being watched.
Ive added 2 photos showing the difference between the two sites, lol

We stayed here 3 years ago and the site is just as well run and clean as before. We love it here and will keep coming back. Beach is beautiful and clean. The shop is well stocked and the owners are so friendly and helpful.

Looking forward to staying in the lodge at some point.

Very nice campsite. Shower and toilet facilities fantastic. Lovely beach with direct access. The owners are also on site doing something and obviously care very much about good customer service. The pitches are very big and most have been positioned carefully so you get a good sea view. Arisaig itself is a lovely little village. Try the MV Shearwater trips to the Small Isles and also their cafe is lovely.

I've stayed in a few campsites in my time but none as good as this. Excellent location, immaculate facilities and very friendly owners who can't do enough to help. The bonus is that whilst there the site was "full" and yet there was still stacks of space making the camping experience for those of us lucky enough to be there fabulous! If you don't know the area, it's great. I'd recommend the Arisaig ferry to Eigg and a brisk walk up the hill - you'll go a long way to top the views! We'll be back.
