“Best campsite ever”
Reviewed 28 August 2014

Have never stayed at such a lovely campsite before. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful and the site and facilties were immaculate. As we were staying in a small tent, we particularly appreciated the undercover picnic table, microwave, freezer for ice packs, undercover drying area and warm toilet/shower block. Lovely views of Eigg and easy access to beach - can't wait to go back.

We originally booked for one night but thankfully were able to stay for three. Excellent facilities, friendly owners who both work so hard to keep this site in top notch. We'll definitely return to this lovely location and beautifully kept site.

Wonderful campsite in a stunning location. Few minutes walk to the beach, which was ideal for the children (8) and (6) and dog. Lovely sand and lots of rock pools. Kids also loved the fact that we could make a fire on the beach and toast marshmallows! The owners have thought of everything on the site, microwave, fridge, laundry room, drying area etc. The cleanliness of the toilet/shower block was probably the best I've ever seen at a campsite. Wonderful stay and would definitely recommend!

We stayed here for two nights at the start of August. We arrived outside of the regular arrival time but were greeted by ian who showed us around and made us feel welcome.
The facilities are excellent, very clean and modern.
The site is a 2 minute walk to the beach through the owners garden, and what a stunning beach!
White sands and crystal clear sea. The sunsets are stunning.
We had a bbq on the beach and even saw otters playing in the shallows at dusk!
It's only a small site which is a bonus too.
Would definitely recommend.
The only 'fly' in the ointment was the midges so an awning or spacious motorhome would be better than out little VW campervan!
Hope to see you again next year.

We spent a week camping at this very special site, where the facilities are immaculate and the owners are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Sunnyside Croft must be the best site in Scotland if not the UK in its location as well as high standards, and everyione we spoke to on site from UK and Europe agreed it was the best they had experienced. I would highly recommend it to others, and have done so following previous visists and I am glad to say these friends have had the same excellent experience.

Room Tip: All pitches have sea views so you wont be disappointed with any pitch.

Lovely site with excellent facilities which are meticulous maintained by the owners Ian and Julie. Site shop carries a small but well chosen selection of locally sourced food. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Stayed here in tents for 4 nights. Facilities are great, shower block immaculate and looks brand new. Drying area both covered and open ideal. Even the walkways and paths are spotless. Great access to beach and can leave kayaks and canoes down at the beach. Little shop has some nice goods for sale, would have been nice to see a selection of ice lollies to keep the kids happy but village in arisaig only 5 minutes away in the car. Site suitable and welcomes dogs. If you are visiting remember the bucket and spades, nets for the rock pools and any equipment for water sports which is a must. The views are amazing up here and lovely to see the sun setting. We were 3 adults and 3 kids who had a ball and will definitely return.
