You come onto the beach from a path through the dunes and the first view that opens up in front of you is spectacular with blue sea and the islands of Skye, Eig and Muck floating in front of you. The sand is pure white and great for children to play safely. The water can be chilly!
Often the beach is very quiet and peace can always be found in some of the adjoining inlets which themselves have lovely sand.
Many of the rock pools are wonderful for children to fish and paddle in. Do try to keep them off the dunes though as a lot of time and effort has gone in to trying to preserve them.

great walks along coast especially when the tide is out.
Has to be one of the great beaches. Pure white sand, clean, clear sea, huge sand dunes and the most magnificent view over to the Cuillins on Skye and the mountains of the Small Isles of Rhum and Eigg. What a sunset! If only the weather were better ....
In one word; stunning, if it was good enough for Hollywood then it must be doing something right...
Stunning views of the Small Isles, plus Skye. Backed by dunes with the whitest sand I've ever seen on a Scottish beach, and surprisingly clear water....in fact I kept having to remind myself I was actually in Scotland!
Definitely make a trip out to here if your in the area, just keep an eye out for the big Saltire flag on the coastal route between Morar and Arisaig, park your car up, go over the bridge, through the gate and then keep following the path, you won't be disappointed...
