“An extraordinarily service minded hostel.”
Reviewed 19 August 2013

The personnel on this hostel might very well be the most service minded hostel personnel I have ever encountered, polite and efficient. The hostel is clean and offers laundry, clothes drying and cooking facilities and an option to order a perfectly adequate breakfast. They also have their own bed sheets this is both convenient and helps with the overall tidy feeling.

Family of 4 stayed here last week, pretty nice overall, a great find off the beaten track! Take your earplugs, thin walls and maybe take a extra duvet, or ask for one to sleep on, mattresses are pretty thin and full of springs.

Hi TravellingOKO,

Sorry you didn't find our mattresses comfortable. Over half of our mattresses were replaced last season but we understand that mattresses and comfort are a personal thing, most people tell us that our beds are comfy and that they slept very well.

If you can take the time to let us know which room you were in (or what name you booked under) we'll double check the mattresses are up to scratch.

Hope you enjoyed the rest of your travels.

Matt, Invergarry Lodge

This hostel is very clean and comfortable, all bed linen supplied, towels for hire if you wish. The kitchen is well equipped and there is an adjoining dining room and a separate lounge area. It's a beautiful and quiet location but very easy to walk to nearby pub and small shop. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we would not hesitate to use the hostel again.

Stayed here for a night en-route to the UCI Downhill Word Cup in Fort William with my son and a couple of his friends. Found via the International Hostelling site. Fantastic value in a beautiful location within easy reach of both Fort William and Loch Ness.
It looks like a big modern house which has been converted to be a hostel. We had a 5-bedded room with 2 sets of bunk beds and a shower to ourselves with plenty of space to spread ourselves out in. Large well-equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge (how many hostels have a piano and a TV in them) and free WiFi and internet access

Blantyre Hillwalking & Rambling (we don't do rambling, but its what we have been called for the last 25 odd years) Club used this hostel as a base for 22 of our members to roam the surrounding hills & what a weekend we had.:>)
Three days of glorious sunshine, clear skies & little wind, allowed us to wander the hills that surround this excellent base.........which could be utilised for any number of outdoor activities or even just getting away from it all.
Comfy, cosy accomodation, plenty of space in the rooms - good nights sleep in the beds:>)
Plenty of space to relax in the lounge, ample dining space & kitchen....could do with another fridge.
Will revisit either as a group or individual.......pity the local hotel is so expensive, food is nice but portions a bit small :>(

Room Tip: A better base for walking the hills than Fort William.....Invergarry is central to more Munro's...

We stayed in this hostel as a group of 4, sharing a room with 2 bunk beds and plenty of floor space for bags and spreading stuff around! It was really comfortable and cosy, the carpeted floors made it feel very homely. The place was spotless, kitchen really big and well equipped with everything you could need. The rooms were good, individual lights at each bed, thick warm quilts and a sink, toilet and shower in the room. The lounge area is wonderful to relax in after a long day outside, plenty of comfy sofas, games, tv with DVD player. The drying room was very effective at drying out 4 people's wet kayaking gear in December! Overall a really comfortable place to stay, I'd definitely stay again and will recommend it to friends. It is more like a B&B in feel and atmosphere inside.

Room Tip: Any, they are all large and spacious!
