“Clean, convenient, but small”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2014

We stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday. The place was clean but very small since there wer 4 of us and the 2 queen beds that sleeps 4, is really not comfortable unless you are solo in the bed. Other than feeling like we were in cramped quarters, the place was clean and had convenient parking and convenient to the trolly. The city was dirty and we were continually bothered by agressive homeless individuals. Also, almost everything was closed on Thanksgiving, so other than Marlo's for a nice dinner, there was not too much to do on Thanksgiving day. Before we left we did get to go to Graceland which more than made up for the boring day in Memphis on Thanksgiving day.

Room Tip: Try the king size bed instead of the small queen size beds.

We appreciate your taking the time to post your review. I am sorry read about your time in Memphis. It is generally an active city with plenty to do and see. Beale street is always active with it's many shops, dining options, and nightclubs. Several of the attractions will have limited hours on the holidays.

The hotel was conveniently located on N Main St. It's an easy walk to Beale St which is fun. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was reasonably sized and perfectly clean. The only down was the breakfast, pretty ordinary food and all served on non-environmentally-friendly plastic and/or foam. I hope they look to more sustainable (and nutritious) options in the future.
A final note, we found Memphis to be run-down and somewhat disappointing, with the exception of Graceland.

This was a nice 4 day stay in Memphis. The hotel is in a great location within walking distance of all the downtown sites such as Beale St, The Peabody, restaurants, etc. You do not have to park in a garage, There is an actual lot, where you do get charged a fee for each day, but that is typical of any downtown hotel. The city is easy to navigate, and the staff was very helpful in giving directions and advice. The only complaint I would have was the breakfast in the morning. There was a nice spread, but one morning they ran out of coffee, and a few mornings the trash cans were overflowing with breakfast plates. I would expect them to be a bit more attentive. All in all though, a nice stay.

My husband and I stayed here for a few days in June 2014. The location is an easy walk to Beale Street, even in the hot and humid temperatures (especially if you stick to walking on Main Street, which is lined with trees and in the shade for most of the walk). The staff was very friendly and personable. The room was a nice size, and we really liked the built-in charging station in the room. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean for the most part; a dirty wash cloth from the prior guests was left in the bathroom, which was a little gross. The AC unit in the room was surprisingly quiet. The free breakfast is about what you would expect - cereal, pastries, yogurt, eggs, sausages, bagels, bread, and a waffle maker. Only one toaster and one waffle maker made it a little difficult to gain access to either, though. The coffee offered was also good. If we ever find ourselves back in Memphis, we would definitely stay here again.

We just spent 2 nights at this hotel. We were very pleased with the hospitality. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We did have an issue with our TV, but it was corrected quickly. The room was clean. It was small, but we knew that going into it and it created no issues for us. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Love this hotel. Right on the trolley line and only 3 or 4 blocks from the world famous Beale Street. As an added bonus the Flying Saucer is about half way between the two. The breakfast is good and the staff is first rate. Sometimes when the weather is nice I have my breakfast outside. The only thing I dislike is the $12.00 parking fee. Other than that the place is wonderful.

My family went to Memphis for a Redbirds game. We checked with Comfort Inn and they were full. They referred us to Sleep Inn and we got the last 2 rooms. Nice staff. Room clean, pretty "new" and comfortable for 2 people. Might be crowded with 4. Would stay again.
