“A Humble Home For The King”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

Only 2 of our party are real Elvis fans but you don't come to Memphis and not go to Graceland do you? We did the Platinum Tour and were surprised to find the place relatively quiet - surprised but happy as it meant that we were not rushed and could take our time moving through the house (ground floor and basement only as the first floor is out of bounds). Although it's set in large grounds, the house is not huge and is rather humble and in keeping with Elvis's roots. It's something of a 1970's time capsule and that, coupled with the outbuildings full of memorabilia, appealed to me. The 2 planes and the car museums were nicely done too, but the gift shop overload was way too much. We all expect to be assailed with stuff to buy at such places but a lot of it was tat I'm afraid and I'm not sure how Elvis would feel if he knew how much dross was being sold in his name? That aside, we enjoyed our time at Graceland but, having done it once, would not do it again.

“Great trip back in time”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

Everything is just as Elvis left it in the 70's so it is a great trip in time. Has a self guided audio tour so you have some wiggle room if you want to spend time in a specific area.
Plenty of things to do and if you are an Elvis fan, you should plan on spending at least a half day here.

“Delve into Elvis' history”
Reviewed 18 July 2014 via mobile

Worth the time and price of admission. It took us longer than 3 hours to tour everything. A must see even if you aren't a big Elvis fan. While there, you can save $ 1.00 each by purchasing tickets to Sun Studio. Take the free shuttle to Sun and then to Beale Street as they drop you off right in front of the FedEx Center. Go check out Graceland and see for yourself why he was probably one of the best entertainers ever.

“Handicapped Friendly”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

I have to use a walker to get around. The people at Graceland were wonderful showing me how to get around stairs and view the mansion. They would always send someone to escort you and make you get to the right place. The mansion and grounds were beautiful. Not only do you see the mansion but his car, planes, and museum. It was time worth spent.

“Don't miss it”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

Great spot on a Memphis vacation. We did the whole tour and even though we aren't huge Elvis fans it is not to be missed. It was really neat to be able to board the airplanes however I have heard since we are there that they are taking these away, which if true is a shame.
