Stopped here at the recommendation of the Rockin' Running Tours guide and found it very informative. Not your typical museum, but it is still a worth while stop. Price is reasonable considering the length of the talk during the tour.

From the outside, this place doesn't look like much. But inside, there was so much to see and learn! The historians who hosted our tour were knowledgable, passionate, and engaging. Even if you know a lot about slavery and the history of it, you are sure to learn new things on this tour. This is a must-see for anyone visiting Memphis and was the most important and worthwhile activity of our visit. I would happily visit again.

Probably one of the highlights of our trip to Memphis. Upon viewing the outside of the building, our family questioned whether to send the money to go view the building. However, the tour was excellent. We had in our family 2 adults in their 50's, our son who is 14 and my mother in law. The guides are extremely knowledgeable and are willing to gear the tour as needed for families. I was so impressed with our guides...they were very informative and spoke with the experience of college professors. This tour changed all our lives with the information these ladies gave. I can't thank you enough!

We had a few difficulties finding the place but we are sure glad we stuck with it. The tour was informative without being one sided. Its honest without being shocking. The tour guides were well informed and open. Its educational and a must see for young and old people. The house itself isn't impressive or magnificent at all, the history is !

Very informative. I went with my husband and we were surprised at how much we learned. The house is small but we are so glad we went.
